cd burning problems *again*

This is frustrating, having cd burning problems again. Don't know what the problem is and have even did another clean-install of win2k with no luck. Seems that the software, both Nero 5 and 5. 5 are burning it fine, but it is not accessible.

Kicked back to desktop after a few minutes.

Many of my games (seems most d3d games) jumps back to the desktop after a while. Just instantly Im at the desktop. And the thing is, the hdd reads for three/four seconds during this incident. I havent really been troubleshooting yet, but I still thought you could take a guess on what could be wrong.

Diablo 2 and XP Build 2465

Im amazed how something will work properly in one build and then a new one comes out and stuff gets messed up. For me Diablo 2 worked fine in build 2463, then I did a clean install of build 2465 and now I cant get past an error msg telling me that it cannot find my cd even though its in the drive.

I have a win98 machine with two HDs. Can I move all my dad to drive D and then install a fresh copy of win2k on C: and then access D drive with a problem? In other words I want to backup my data on drive D.

nvidia drivers for 2465

Never ran across this in 2462 where I used the 10. 4 nvidia drivers for my gf2 mx 400 with absolutely no problems at all. However, in 2465 it shows up as only having 16 megs of ram and in games like sacrifice which ran perfectly in 2462.

I heard somewhere that it would be the end of May, and in other places Im hearing that it wont be till the end of June. I believe that RC2 will be released sometime in July and then the RTM will be sometime in August, anyone know the release dates for sure??.

Mirroring win2k boot disks.... boot.ini??

After I mirrored my boot disk on the server, it told me that You have mirrored your boot volume. To be able to boot from the mirror disk, add the appropriate entry to your boot. ini file What entry is it talking about? Where can I find info? Will my server bootup properly unless I modify this boot.

Hi I used Win2k on my previous PC (an Intel based box, and liked it a great deal), but have since upgraded and have had difficulties with it on my new PC (ATA100 stuff) and settled for Me, which is proving to be quite good.

My Windows 2000 is having all kinds of slow up when trying to browse the network. I have tried deleting that key in the registry to speed it up, but it did nothing. I guess I need to import a lmhost file but I have no idea on how to do this.

Inaccesable Boot Device

I just recently installed SP2 for Win2000, my system was working perfectly before this, I wasnt using SP1 because of the same problem, anyways i installed SP2 and rebooted, when booting i get the Inaccesable boot device blue screen, i'm thinking its Microsofts IDE driver, but i dont really know how to go about this.

Disconnecting VPN clients

VPN clients who are logged in are being disconnected. I think its because of inactivity (they go and have dinner, come back and they're disconnected). Is there an autodisconnect feature I can turn off?.

Iwill KA266-R I was thinking about this mobo for my next upgrade, partly because of the DDR FSB, DDR RAM and partly because of the RAID. I was just wondering if this new chipset is gonna give me any problems, its the ALi MAGiK 1, and I havent really heard good things about ALi's.
