using windows 2000 pro, can i clone the desktop settings that one user has with another user? like all the startup menu programs and backgroud and all the crap in my documents. .

I have 3 hdds : one with Win98, one other with Wi2k pro and the last one with mp3z I wanted to install XP on the third disk and every time to have a startup menu in which I'd choose the OS I'd like to start with.

USR Model 2977 OEM internal 56k hardware modem

I recently upgraded my OS to Win2k and lost my modem's functionality. Win2k simply won't recognize my modem. Has anybody been able to make the USRobotics Model 2977 OEM internal 56k hardware modem to work with Win2k? I have tried installing the drivers manually to no avail.

I have fixed the issue of crackling in Win2K. But I don't like the idea of having to reduce hardware acceleration, to do so. So I have to hard drives I decided to reformat one for win98SE. Will I finally got the second hard drive format which took for ever.

Win 2K Program Error

I'm running an Athlon 1. 4 with 512 Megs of ram. My problem started after I installed and ran a screen saver that I used on my old Win98 machine. Crash. I used the boot disks to get running again but now every time I start up I get a program error message, explorer.

On a dual-boot system is there an easy way to tell Outlook Express in Win2k to use my identity(s) from Win98 so I can use both Outlooks and keep my mail and newgroups in sync? I would prefer to make the changes in Win2k in case I later decide to change it's disk to NTFS.

Does anybody know how, or if Jewel of the Oracle will run under Win2000? The compatiblity list only shows that it can't be run under NT4. A friend of mine is waffling about installing win2000 and she plays this old hunk-o-garbage game all the time, so if it doesn't run she won't install win2000.

Hey all, Over the last few weeks I've started to notice that the fan on my ageing GeForce card is getting very noisy. . I've reseated the card, checked the fan itself (it doesnt SEEM to be be touching the edges) but nothing makes a difference.
