So whats your beef with Windows? Mine is autoplay, I disable it cuz I hate it so much. I also hate those 'Assistants' in MS Office, and that CD Icon dude in EZ CD Creator, they're in my way. .

New WinTV NT4/2000 Driver v3.08

Hauppauge just 'inofficially' released a new driver for all WinTV-cards for Windows NT 4 and 2000. The Readme isn't updated, so don't know what has been changed. For those who have troubles might try it anyways.

Hello all! I'm at the end of my rope, yesterday evening my Dad's Asus A7V motherboard's PS/2 ports died. We can't use the keyboard or the mouse. I put on a USB keyboard and mouse and we get the same problem.

Hi, Most of us know that when pressing Alt+Tab, windows would minimize the program your are currently using and show the desktop. But my case is not so. When I upgraded my computer to Win2k from Win98SE, when ever I press Alt+Tab, it just restarts.

So how have you guys fared? Are you on the side with no issues, or ones that are just stupidbut dont screw up anything (UT takes longer to load between maps with SP2, the only issue Ive ever had with a SP).

i just got my 1. 33 tbird with 512 megs of ddr ram in without an os on it- because i thought i could handle a dual os setup on my own- i fdisk then partioned it 50 50 for 98 and 2k but 2k took over- any way it doesnt even work right- do i need to install all drivers on 98 first- where is the os boot up choice when ...

Voice Chat When Using A Firewall

Hello When I use ICQ, or MSN Messanger I have to shut my firewall down so the person i'm talking too can hear me. I can hear them fine they just can't hear me. I don't like the idea of disabaling my firewall so can anyone tell me how to configure my firewall so that lucky person on the other end can hear me.

Is there any way to turn off the automatic chkdsk if Windows 2000 doesnt shut down correctly? I know there's a way to do it in Win9x, but I'm not sure of the procedure in Windows 2000. Thanks. . Arch.

Anti-Virus on Whistler?

Does anyone know of anti-virus software that works with whistler? I've tried Nortons v7. 5, McAfee v3, and InnoculateIT v(latest). Nortons blue screens when i force the load, McAfee says it's not compatible, and Innoculate loads but will not actively scan nor will it scan my email.

I am Able to play fifa 2001 very well in win2k BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO SAVE ANY SETTING OR GAMES OR REPLAYS. . . when i try to do so the game exits & an abort message is displayed FILE_SAVE CANNOT OPEN USER\FIFA01 please help!!!.

Constant reboot while playing Giants

When playing Giant, the game will reboot when going to another level of the game. I don't understand that. First it would reboot while loading, then I remembered I put -snd3d at the ent of the short cut to enable EAX, Because the game disables it by default.

Terminal Server -- Too Busy?

I try and login to the server using terminal services and it tells me the server is too busy. . . . I've had this before, and I rebooted the server and it worked. Now it won't work anymore even if I reboot it.
