I just wondered, if there are any alternative designs available for whistler. . . I checked the page of microsoft, but there seem to be none. . . or is it all compatible with windowblinds? I'm just curious, because all this blue kinda goes on my eyes 🙂.

Is there a way to create a Windows NT CD with the service pack already integrated like you can for Windows 2000? The FAQ says how to do it for Win2K here, but I'm not sure if the same procedure would apply to WinNT 4.

Is there any possibility to redirect the file C:\HIBERFIL. SYS (the file W2k creates when one goes into hibernate mode) to another drive than C:\ ? Thx in advance Whoa, just noticed my signature was WAY outdated.

I want to update my bios, but i have win 2k and i can´t run the system in DOS mode with a system disk to execute the program to flash the bios. Can I update the bios having installed win 2k?.

When you select to run a program under the win95 compatability layer under sp2 in win2k, does this even do anything? Is this the equivalent of running the program under win95? If anything all my games have become slower when running under this mode.

WinXP+V5500+Tribes 2=??????

Just wondering if anyone has played Tribes 2 with a 3DFX V5500 in Win XP??? I've been running Beta2 on my laptop without any major problems (except tryng to get Novell Client to work right on it ) And I'm tempted to install it on my home system and have it replace Win98SE and still dual boot to Win2000.

I see EAW and PE listed as working, but I can't even get them to install. Does anyone have a work-around for this, please? And I can install M1TP2, but soon as I go to enter in a battle, I am kicked to the desktop.

weird problem with severance when i run this game with win2k i get an low memory error and loads of disk accessing any ideas cus i cant play the game it loads to select the person i want to be but thats it tryed different players but same problem occures win2000 service pack 2 rc 2.

This might be an easy one but I am just getting used to Win2k. In Win9x/ME you could have each user have customized start menus, desktops, favorites, etc. Can it be like that in Win2k? When I change one thing under Admin, and I log into Family, the change goes there too.

Novell Client for Win XP?

Yes I know why the hell are you running Novell? Well I can't talk the boss out of changing to NT/2000 servers yet so I'm stuck with it. . . Now XP comes with a so called Novell client but it doesnt keep the drive mappings correct so no matter which drive it is, it's allways shows the f: drive mapping.
