can't load games for King's Quest VIII in Windows 2000!

Dear all, I bought King's Quest VIII and installed it under windows 2000. The game runs swell (aside from random freezes), but I cannot load any of my saved games. Every time I select the load command from the main menu, I am thrown back to Windows.

I played with an older build of XP and am curious if they've fixed the icon for create a new folder yet? If you look in Explorer, on the context sensitive bar, Create a new folder had the default Windows icon.

I need the line from boot. ini that boots win2k on a 98/2k system. I have formated my 98 drive and all I need is that line to get back into 2k. Please help me out here I just reinstalled all my os's about a week ago and dont have any desire to do 2k again.

Ok, here is the problem. Ive got a peer to peer network setup with 2 win2k pro comps. They are on a Linksys router with 4 switched LAN ports. When ever I try to transfer large files (say 50mb) it will go through about 60% of it then and error box will pop up and say.

This is bad. I am getting a BSOD every now and then. It seems to happen when there is a lot of work with the sound card. The BSOD is a complete system halt and results in a reboot. The error message reads as follows.

OK,I'm trying to install Studio Pro, but it's an older version, so it just checks to see if the system is an NT system, then quits with an error that Windows NT is incompatible with this program. I know this program will work in Win2K, so I tried APCOMPAT.
