Two Questions: a) Does Win2k support more than one display adapter ie two monitors? Does anyone know whether the above will work with two PCI Trio64's? I am attempting to get dual monitors working on an old dog box for the hell of it.

sound card keeps getting re-detected upon fresh boot

This has been happening for some time now and happened when I was still using 98SE. Every morning I come to work and boot up this pc, during startup, windows will say that it detected the soundcard (ESS Solo1 PCI) and if I would like to install the drivers for it.

nvidia gforce 256 incompatible with AMD Atlhon ?

My Nvidia GForce 256 has some kind of incompatibility with my Amd K7 Athlon 900MHz. Does anyone know why my O. S doesn't recognize my card ? I can only get 16 colors !! Ridiculous , isn't ? I've tryed With Win2K and I got only 16 colors and 640 x 480.

I have 256 megs of ram. Is there a significant increase in perfomance if I was to add an extra 128 megs or would it remain the same. Ive heard that there is a point were more ram will not help the speed of your computer, what would that point be.

Modem probles in Win2k SP1

Is anyone using Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem having problems with the latest Win2k drivers (those with speakerphone suppot)? Personally, I'm still using the fax drivers because when I install the other ones, when I try to connect to the internet, I get an error message: Hardware failure - error 629 or something.

Diamond Viper 330 (Riva128) Win2k Drivers

Does anyone know where i can find these? Win2k adv. server didn't recognise the card and i haven't been able to get hold of any drivers, not from diamond or nvidia. So any help would be appreciated, seeing as 640 x 480 in 16 colours is very annoying ;P Thnx loc.

Does anyone know if Gangster 2 is working in W2K SP1??? It only get a black screen after the menyselections. I use: Duron 700 256MB 133 RAM Geforce DDR Nvidia drivers 12. 00 WHQL A7V Mainboard with 1007Bios.

WinUpdate buggered me a little...

I saw the previous post about newer SBLive drivers and well that's half the story there Actually, the driver buggered up during the download (I'm assuming) and very shortly after it gets to the install part it stops and WinUpdate reports an error occered.

Stupid Nestscape. I installed to test a website I made to make sure it worked and then I uninstalled it. I deleted the actual folder, registry entries. Well now I get errors all the d#$% time. This is the error: Unable to start a DCOM Server: {E67D6A10-4438-11CE-8CE4-0020AF18F905}.

ok i tried to over clock my cpu to the max and i had to clear cmos to get it to normal setting and when i turnit back on it only picked up the primary master. does any one have an i dea.

Office 97 with Win2000 SP2 Woes

I just installed SP2 for my Win2k machine. and now my Office 97 installation refuses to run. When I launch PowerPoint or Excel a message pops up saying that this application needs to installed on this machine to work.

Not seeing CD Drive

No matter what game I instal in NT4, once I install it, it says Insert CD in drive. Naturally its there. And no, they are not *****! Any ideas?.

Umax 2100 U + XP 2781 ?

I used to get my scanner working with all other build. but with this 2781 build the system keeps recognizing the scanner itself and won't let the UMAX drivers work ! Please help.
