Win2K, Service Pack 2 results in missing second hard drive

This is on a friends pc so details aren't great. . . He installed Service Pack 2 and his second hard drive disapeared, its visable to bios, but windows does not see it. Remove SP2, hard drive comes back.

Loss of 3D Acceleration

Out of no-where 3D Acceleration has turned itself off. This happened last night, my screen colours look like 256 however it is set on 16mil Can anyone help? i really dont want to be re-installing windows 2000 again.

I'm running NT 4. 0 SP 6A. I have the ASUS P3BF Motherboard. I was told that my USB port is not recognized by NT. Is this true? I was also told that my AGP slot is not recognised by NT. Is this true? If the answer is true to the questions above, is there a way to get NT to recognize them.

For Moo2 with win2k : If you have problems running Moo2, like you mouse freeze, it's probably because you don't have the lastest drivers of your video card. For my part, I have a GeForce (Nvidia chipset) and my mouse freeze with the version.

STR in W2K? Abit KT7

Anybody with a ABIT KT7 mb got STR working with Win2k? I can get it to work with the YP beta bios version ABIT released ages ago, but it doesn't work with later versions. Hibernate works fine. Any Suggestions?.

Hello! So, here is my Problem: I have the Promise ATA100-controller. When I trie to setup the DMA-Mode in windows 2000, it tells me that the DMAmode is not available. So, it runs in PIO-mode. How can I solve that Problem.

Hi, I have a Gainward GeForce Hollywood/MX 32Mb card (with a TV-tuner onboard). Since I run a SPM machine, I would like to be able to use it under WIN2K. Has ANYone managed to make this card sing under win2k, and not just the GPU but also the TV-tuner? I cant belive im the only guy that has tried to get it to work ...

When I use Word and Excel I often need to use the clipboard. This isn't particulary unusual. The one thing that is really begininning to get annoying is the enhanced clipboard. Anyone know how I can tell word/excel etc not to use that but to default to the normal system one only? Cheers,.

Nero 5.5 (latest ver) and EZCD 5 under Win2000

The first release of Nero 5. 5 caused problems w/ EZCD 5. Has anyone tried the update yet and can you advise if the prior problems are corrected. Given the problems that EZCD 5 causes w/ Win2000, I'm thinking of going back to EZCD 4 for audio and data and using Nero 5.

Im having a sever problem running mehc 4 on win2k. Everytime i start the game, it tries to load up, but then my system crashes. I have to restart every time. I have tried reinstalling, up the game and drivers but nothing seems to work.
