My win2k+SP2 + AMD Athlon 1. 3G + Asus A7V133 + IBM ATA100 + 512 MB PC133 + GForce 2 + SB Live 5. 1 + Adaptec 2940 U2W + Plextor 40 The boot time is one and a half minute. It take's to much in the SCSI Adapter, i think (i have no network card) How can i solve the problem? Thank's Carlos Brito.

Shutdown/Restart Problem.......SiSoft BSOD Help!

I have a couple probems that I am looking for help with. First is that my machine does not shutdown or restart properly. Basically Win2K performs the task to close out and then after doing so hangs at a blank screen.

"Agp disabled" problem

Today I got my new system up, 1. 33tbird, asus a7m, visiontek gf3 running under win2k sp2 (clean install). For some reason, it shows agp as being disabled in WCPUID and powerstrip. After I installed win2k, I installed via 4-in-1 4.

shutdown/restart problems

i'm running 2486 and when i try to restart (or turn off), this dialog comes up with waiting for DEVLDR to close or something, so i click the End Now button and then it just sits there doing nothing. i have to press the hard reset button and then it does all that check disk stuff when booting.

Which drivers to get for BE6-2 and Windows 2000 Pro?

Any of you guys running this combo? I can't figgure out from the Abit driver page which drivers to get for the Hard Disk Controller. I got the ones for the ATA 66. I don't know what the deginations mean for PR5, AR5 etc.

Guys I JUST GOT WIN2K on my new PC and have a question about DUN & games. A friend and I have been using a straight TCP/IP connection to play RPG's for years. But now I can no longer connect to his PC(He using win98) using win98's dial up server.

Everything used to work fine with my old system, which was a Celeron 336 and an Abit BH6, but then I upgraded. My new rig has a Classic Athlon 950MHz and an Asus K7V. Both DirectX and OpenGL do not work right.

Hi guys/girls im currently running WinXP 2482 build. ive been using win2000 drivers up till now. . i purchased the hercules card thinking the win2k drivers will do. . . but all i get is a crackling/scratching sound fomr the speakers.

I don't have clue to why that is I'am not useing WinXP if MS send me new CD I check it out but I'am not on the beta team for this. Frist try editing drvmap. txt It should look like this - Default Default 3dfxVGL.

I recently helped a buddy of mine with NFS:PU, and after having tried everything (removing gimme. dll, re-installing SP1, different video drivers, etc) we finally set his pagefile to a fixed size. We both got 256MB of memory and our pagefiles are now locked to 384MB (min/max).

Has anyone had any success in tracking down the windows 2000 drivers for the microsoft force feedback wheel as mentioned in the news article on this site dated the 3rd June. It gives a link to the windows update site but said drivers are not shown anywhere.

Anyone knows anything about the 1006. 003 file for the Asus P3V4X mobo? Should it be renamed to 1006. bin ? Or should it be used as is with aflash. exe ? This is my very first Asus mobo (my two first ones were excellent DFI which i knew how to flash).

ok, i 've got an amd althon 1 g and 256mb ram pc133. i am running win2k pro and used to run pretty well. however, now i found that sometimes the machine performs a bit slow than it used to, could be more program installed and stuff.
