Hi, I am having a problem sharing my files with my Win2k Server box. I want to be able share the files from the server (Win2k Advance Server) and to my WinME box. The Win2k box sees WinME's shared files, but I can't see any of shares of the server from WinME.

Group Policy...Dont understand... expert please

I was thinking that group policy are supposed to affect all users connecting to my server but it doesnt work. It is supposed to do that or it just affect the policy on the server??? I have read the dOc but they dont say alot of thing.

win2000 setup.. blue screens me

Hi whenever i doa win2000 setup or installtion. . . it boots to dos after exiting form win98se. . when it starts inspecting my computer hardware. . . when it says. . loading win2000 it just blue screens saying check hard drives etc.

I already have the newest codec for divx the openDML 4 and 5 and the newer divx 3. 2. I remember once seeing a program that could encode straight to divx in a color depth of 256 colors instead of 16million.

Highpoint, Abit Athlon and XP - not so good

I have a Abit KA7-100 (the one with the raid) and I have a problem. After so many hours of use, XP (builds 2481 and 2485 btw) will make the hd grind and then it sounds like it's posting and then it locks up.

I guess you can live w/ it for only so long. . . I've finally gotten utterly sick of the advertisements that bombard me on the web. That being said, can anyone recommend a good freeware ad blocker program to run on Win2k w/ IE? I'd love to finally get rid of those darn things that I never click on anyway.

However I found a way to start the game without the CD by editing Registry value of Installed from to. \ The One on One mode works fine, though when I click on exhibition, season, my mouse pointer gets stuck and game gets stuck with Music repeating again ...

why does win2k automatically share my drives with SP2??

Ok, i've recently installed service pack 2 for Windows 2000, and found that it's shared all my drives. . so I turned them off. . now, i'm not on a network, I don't even have a network card in my PC, yet Windows 2000 in it's incredible wisdom, instantly re-shared the drives after a reboot.

WinNT Win2k dual boot - how?

Hey guys, sorry about the probable re-ask but i was unable to find any concrete answers as far as this topic goes. I am at work and I need to dual boot win2k and winNt. There is a reason for this. I need to use an optibase mpeg-1 encoder, and only drivers for NT and 95 are available.
