DirectX problem, HELP!

Ok, I just installed Service Pack 2, DirectX 8, and nVidia Detonator 3 drivers (for my TNT2 Ultra). It seems that none of the D3D or DirectDraw apps can use hardware acceleration except if I login as Administrator! Does anyone know if WK2 server licenses are compatible with the NT4. 0 server? My company wants to know if this is possible so that upgrading the licenses later won't be an issue. . . .

IE 6 causes Explorer to CrAsH!!!!

I have tried pretty well every build of IE 6 in my Win2k pro with and without the two updates. Everytime I install IE6 I get Windows Explorer crashing anytime I go to it either through the desktop or the program menus.

I know that %allusersprofile% will dump me into “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users”, but that doesn’t work for NT4. I am trying to find the var (if it exists) that is the same between NT4 and W2K so I can copy files to “All Users\Start Menu\Program Files”.

This mofo keeps locking up on me when it hits 50 celcius. What is the maximum temp that these things should stay stable at? (I can recreate the problem at anytime simply by running Diablo II, CPU hog, it runs CPU usage to the roof.

Is it possible to get this sucker working! I tried the apcompat. exe, nope setup. exe has generated errors, the same with the Win2k App kit. I just tried the WinXP Appkit that I got from the Freedrive, still got the same result.

I just put in a new wesern digital 60GB 5400RPM HDD and a 256MB PC 133 SDRAM in my computer and every time I log into win2k it says that it is loading my personal settings, then that it is saving my personal settings, and then that I need to press Ctrl Alt Del again.

Hey all, have a strange problem here maybe someone could shed some light on. For some reason all of my icons are being displayed in 16 colors. The desktop color depth is set at 32-bit color, and Display icons using all possible colors is checked.
