I currently have 4 IDE devices: hard drive, orb drive, CD-burner, DVD drive. They are currently set C: thru F: Lets say I buy a SCSI card and add some devices (hard drive, etc. ) What will the drive letter be? Will it take over E:, or wll it go to the end, and become G ;( Or can I set it to whatever I want? I want ...

I installed win2k on a seperate partition and I love it. . . I have been using it for awhile now. I would like to get rid of Win98se which is on my primary partition. I want to reinstall win98 just to have for a couple of games but I want to rid of everything on win98 because of its great size of programs installed.

Modem Problems With WinNT

Hello, I have a generic modem 56K. . . . I installed WindowsNT and it did not detected it. . . . . so I tried to intall it manually. . . . It asks for the drivers. . . . I insert the CD with the windwosNT drivers and then it asks for a port.

Anybody own DVD slot drive?

I am thinking about buying Pioneer 16x DVD 106s Slot drive. Anybody own this drive? I have never owned a slot drive before. Is there any disadvantage in getting a slot drive? Any good or bad things about this Pioneer DVD-Rom drive?.

W2K slow when first starts after login

Hi, i'm new to Win2K, but i love it. I have one question. when W2k starts up, after all my tray icons have loaded etc, if i click to open a program, there is often a 10-15 second delay before it opens.

Hello, I just installed Windows NT, fisrt release. . . . . which service packs order should I follow? should I install service pack 1 and then 2 anf then 3. . . and so on. . . Or I can install from service pack 4 forward?? Thanks a lot!! FTM.

Found an unsupported method to get NetBEUI support back into Windows XP. Here is how: 1) Copy NBF. SYS & NETNBF. INF from the Win2k installation to a floppy. 2) Remove all CopyFile & DestinationDir related comments from the INF.
