Anyone have a regsistry file to optimize XP for a Cable/DSl connection? I know I can use Tweak-XP or X-Setup, but I would rather not install some 3rd party shareware. .

WinTV Theater with only occasional sound- any tips ?

Just got myself the Hauppauge WinTV Theater (mod 498) PCI card. Works great except for the sound. The sound is sporadic, most of the time the wintv2000 and win32 apps start without any sound. Switching channels, swithing to fullscreen or mute/unmuteing a couple of times turns on the sound.

Another beta build of NVmax 3. 0 is out What´s new: A MAJOR bug fix has been implemented. To cut a long story short NVmax did not store the det version in a variable correctly and this could cause systems to use older functions or turn on/off random compatibility in the program for the various drivers.

I am Not a Geek dot com has posted a review on the Delta 80mm 68CFM Fan This is a 68CFM fan, the fastest 60mm fans available are about 38CFM. Even the MC462 only has a 57CFM fan, so you could use this to upgrade your MC462 as well.

detonator drivers make my screen blurry?!

i just noticed when i installed the RC2 (for a long time i thougt it was my screens fault) that my screen was not blurry anymore, then i installed the detonator 12. 90 and after the reboot. . . it was blurry again.

NIC takes a long time to initialize when booting

Upon doing a clean install of Win2K Pro, it takes the NIC forever to load (approx. 1 minute). I get this message in the Event Viewer everytime I boot: Dhcp Warning Your computer has automatically configured the IP address for the Network Card with network address 00207800F6F8.

While the Samsung SD-612 lives up to its maximum speed claims, one still needs to realize that 12x DVD reads are not terribly important by today´s standards as the majority of software applications are still being distributed on CD-ROM.
