Kernel Memory total is higher when booted up after months of

When I boot up windows and I check my memory usages in Task Manager. My Kernel Memory is higher after a few month of use. When I installed win2k the total kernel memory after booting up is around 36000k or 38000k.

I read the article posted on the main page of Nt COmpatible about customizing Windows 2000. I was really intrigued about changing the Windows 2000 shell. The article didn't give any instructions as to how this was done, and the new shell that I downloaded looks to have instructions for Win98.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I am EXTREMELY happy with Windows 2000 SP2 and IE 6, plus the new Outlook version that comes with IE 6. I see no reason to upgrade to XP now or even in the distant future.
