stopping applications at start up ?

Could you tell me how to stop certain applications running at startup please. I have SETI and it runs as soon as i boot and want to stop it. . . Also that MS office start up too. . in win98 i use msconfig for this but dont know how to do it in win2K.

Anyway, so I put in my Intel Pro PC Camera which is the CS430 USB Webcam, and to my surprise the quality is really shitty on netmeeting when compared to that of windows ME.

Everytime i shutdown my client pc there's that balloonthing (sorry i don't know how to call that) in the systray that tells on the server pc that the client has been shutdown. I there anyway to disable that? I reboot my computer several times a day (especially when i'm tweaking and have to reboot ) and that balloon ...

At the moment users have to each morning map up drives manually with domain/userid & pass to get connected as the system doesn't seem to remember them (sometimes I have to reset the pass).

Is it possible on an ABIT VP6, to mix a 800MHz FC-PGA and a 750MHZ FC-PGA processor. and will Win2k take advantage of all of this? probly an old question. . . but i'm not sure. also what is the max amount of RAM for Win2k Server.
