FTPCtrs error in event log

I been getting in my event log for application is Unable to collect the FTP performance statistics service is data DWORD 0 and Event 1000 error. I can't even remove it. I remove FTP service off the IIS and reinstalled and removing all the programs in the IIS.

Problems with Riva TNT in XP

I have a Diamond Viper V550 vdeo card based on the original Riva TNT chipset and I can't seem to get Direct3D hardware acceleration to work in WinXP. The closest I can get is with the supplied drivers but I have to laod DxDiag, disable D3D, reboot, reenable it and it will work but only until the next reboot.

WinMe only half shuts down?

Here's the problem: I replaced a nic and since winme refused to completely shut down. All of the leds go off but the fans keep running. Any ideas what might be the problem? Thanks.

No Master Boot Record?

Just installed win2k on a friends PC with SP2 and Norton Antivirus 2001. When I run a norton antivirus scan it reads scanned master boot records 0. The system takes 3 min to boot and runs slower than the same system I have.

The Tech Zone has posted a preview on the Intel Tualatin P3 1. 2Ghz CPU The new Pentium3 isn´t all that new. Changes are evolutionary, rather than revolutionary, which stands to reason. Intel doesn´t want to reinvent the wheel, just do a better job of filling a perceived gap in its product line.

Monster Sound MX300 problems

I am using a Diamond Monster Sound MX300 under XP RC2 and I am having trouble with it. Every time I try to copy files from one drive to another or if I search for files, all sound stops and the only way to get it back is to restart.
