Philipp
Administrator
Maximum Hardware has posted a review on the EPoX 8KTA3+ PRO motherboard. With several solid boards under their name, naturally I jumped at the chance to review the 8KTA3+ PRO. I´m sure many of you have heard of the 8KTA3, based on the VIA 100/133MHz KT133A (VT8363A Northbridge & VT82C686B Southbridge) chipset.

Error message - reference a token?

DooDiddley
I'm running Win 2000 Pro and was moving along just fine. I don't know what I did but now I'm getting really weird error messages when I try to start some services like ftp and web publishing. I also no longer have a web server because of this.

OK, so whats so dandy about WinXP

reversing_drive
I haven't tested XP at all and am just curious what to expect. I have read a number of articles about and posts here @ ntcompatible, but it just seems to be WinME Bells & Whistles with the rock solid Win2K architecture.

4-way interleave with only 3 sticks of RAM?

Brian Frank
I've got the VP6, and I'm wondering about the 4-way interleave in BIOS. The thing is I only have 3 DIMM's usedall 128MB PC133and the 4th DIMM empty. Right now it's set to auto, but I'd like to know if setting it to 4-way would help me with only 3 DIMMs, not do anything or cause problems.

Cleaning and Applying Arctic Silver II

Philipp

3dXtreme has posted a guide about cleaning your cpu of old thermal compound and applying a fresh coat Here´s a quick guide regarding a process I personally hate! It´s really a pain to clean the cpu then apply a thin, even coating of Arctic Silver II however for the overclockers out there it´s also absolutly necessary.
