CD- drives powersaving failure

I have E-IDE 52x/AKH A66 plain, simple cd-drive. The problem is that I would need to set the drives powersaving feature for 4 or 8 minutes, since one of my game disks installs really slow and thus requires more time.

Anyone try installing AdminPak after installing Service Pack 1 (beta) on XP Pro? I'm getting a message that its not the right version. Just wondering if there is a newer version of adminpak than beta 3.

Please help. I am running Win2000 Pro stand alone. I have a cd rewriter installed running the latest Nero. I also have a usb scanner installed. Both work perfectly when anyone who is in the Administrators group is logged in.

Need help with win2k hang

I switched motherboards on one of my pc's because the motherboard died. And now win2k hangs when the first grey bar slides across at 100%. I plan on reformatting but first I need to get in so i can do a couple of things with some programs that were installed.

I reinstalled these games the other night as I had a hankering to play them again. But, alas, since upgrading to XP, when clicking the game it complains about not being able to detect the CD. Both games act the same.

Hi Gang, My dad bought himself a used HP AMD 1GHZ laptop. It's very nice, but we're woth Win2K men and it's XP. I'm wondering how do you get the F in the File menu to stay underlined even when you're not holding down the ALT key? Thank you very, very, much , Christian Blackburn.

That might've sounded a bit sarcastic, but so far, it's pretty good. I got Netscape 7. 0 downloaded to try out for the heck of it, as I've been having trouble on another message board-and it turned out to be IE6 for some reason.
