For those of you who have ff7 working in xp

How did you do it? I just did a fresh format (ntfs) and a clean install of xp. Soon as it was up, I installed ff7 and tried it, didn't work. Set compatibility to win98, didn't work. So then I installed newest dx8.

Win ME and HP cd-writer plus 7200e driver?

Can anybody help? I have a housebound friend. He has WinME and I found him a hp cd writer plus 7200e at a flea market. I've scoured the Driverguide site and HP and either I don't understand the lingo or there is not a driver available.

The Group Policy client-side extension Security was passed flags (17) and returned a failure status code of (1332).

3DMark 99 MAX Pro (MadOnion or FutureMark)

Has anyone managed to get 3DMark 99 working under WinXP??? I've tried several things including running it in compatibility mode. . . After installation, attempting to run the software results in an error complaing that DirectX 6.

hi guys, i have just ordered a pioneer 106s dvd drive. this is thew one that lets u choose your region 5 times, but after that it locks it. now i know there is a program/firmware out there to unlock this, so it can be changed forever.

Clearing RDC history list.

I use a public computer and am trying to figure out how to clear the connection history in Remote Desktop Connection. I have searched the registry and even tried killing some DLLs, but no luck. Anyone know where I might find it? Technet had nothing to offer.

Yes I know it's an old joystick but I don't have the money for a new one but anyway my question is why doesn't Windows 2000 Pro detect it? I went to gaming options in control panel and installed it from there but then it says Not Connected so what could be the problem? My sound card is Sound Blaster Live!

Hi, Ive just instaled XP on my neighbours Compaq computer, the thing is that before I instaled XP the modem worked prefect, it was possible to connect and everything, now, even if all the information regarding passwords and connect numbers are correct the modem wont dail, it just gets the error 630 I think.

the news topic of Asus Bios Updates & Tool cannot be parsed because it is a malformed string. XML specs says that text with & in the string must use the & escape sequence to be valid XML.
