Connecting Hds: Best way?

I have 2 ata-100 Hds and 1 dvd-rom drive and cd-rw drive. I do have room to use a ATA-100 promise Ultra100TX2 controller I have if need be but would it be better and faster performance wise to have both HDs on the mobos primary channel since the mobo supports ata-100 and have the dvd-rom drive and cd-rw on the seco ...

Logitech Mouseman Wheel problems

I've had this Logitech Mouseman Wheel for a good 3 years and mid through this year a bought a new computer. As I went to try the mouse on it i found it worked fine at the start and then a month later it ceased to work anymore.

Manipulating registry files

Anyone know of a way to edit/change the registry of a non-running XP installation ? I have a dual boot system (normally XP1/XP2), and I refresh the XP2 partition fairly often. The XP2 is just an image of XP1 which I use for testing purposes etc.

The NTCompatible page is easier on the eyes and encourages me to actually read the frontpage whereas at LinuxCompatible I scroll down looking for specific things that I actually want to read. . . . Now if we had a profiling system where in the options we could choose what we want to see at each visit automagically ...

can't ping 127.0.0.1

I have a computer with xp pro that is having trouble pinging localhost / 127. 0. 0. 1 Also, it can't ping it's own IP address, 192. 168. 1. 107 However, it CAN ping the router, and any address on the internet.

Hi, I am working on a older server that is running NT 4. I have installed SP 3 with the NT 4 Option Pack and then SP 4. I am having a problem with the smtp service. It is always getting a error with the smtp service about file not found.

The fix presented below include only editing of windows registry hence no need of running any third party apps of unknown origin. Theoretically this fix should be display-driver/adapter indenpendent since it modifies settings for the monitor rather than display-drivers/adapter itself.

Hey Guys, do you know about any DVD Audio Player for windows? i have tryed to play DVD audio discs with my DVD Player using DVD players but the sound is not good enough as it could be. . . I was searching around but find nothing ;(.

AvP2 flickers like mad

I just strated to play AvP2 for the first time and the graphics are absolutely horrible. From the briefing cut-scenes onwards the display is filled with various kinds of 'geometrical' (for lack of better word) patterns, mostly seem to be triangulars,flashing, changing and giving me a headache.
