Need Advice on purchasing an ethernet router................

Hey all. our company is moving to a new office and we are looking into an Ethernet router - we have a cisco router but someone decided they don't want to use that (so i will take it for myself ) Anyways, they told me to look at the Netopia R9100 Ether Router Now to be honest, i don't know JACK about this stuff.

Bad Sector recovery

I have a clients computer that has developed some bad sectors on the hard drive (WD 40gb 7200rpm) and when it runs chkdsk on boot up, it finds quite a few unreadable sectors, and the OS looks pretty messed up.

Is the single player value any good? I wan't to play this game, but I HATE, DESPISE, LOATHE online playing. There are to many jackasses out there for it to stay fun. Should I bother or stick with MoH:AA (and Spearhead for the matter)?.

This was supposed to be a response to Doom 3 Patch but somehow it screwed up. . . . Yea i think the mods are what might make the game somewhat good. After I got over the general effect of the creepy atmosphere of the demo (which took like a whole 5 minutes), I was thoroughly bored.

Strange explorer error

I have 2 winxp computers networked with ICS setup. Problem is the client computer that shares the DSL connection is constantly getting a window that pops up and says WINDOWS EXPLORER HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE.

What is the best program to clone my C drive???

I just got a new HD and I have a shiatload of stuff installed I don't want to have to go reinstall everything. Can someone give me a few links or suggestions on how I can clone my current windows HD to my new one??? Thank you!.

I have Windows XP Pro. I have recently noticed that the trace. log found under C:\Windows\System 32\LogFiles\ WMI has been growing way out of proportion- up to 1. 5 gigs in size. I have all counters disabled with exctrlst.

Madden 2000 problems on Windows XP

The game works fine until I get to a football game. When the football game starts the colors are totally messed up. I don't know what the problem is. I would appreciate any help I can get. .

Does anyone know a good and actually working internet accelerator for a 56k modem. Even though I get an average of 4kbp-6kbps it still kinda sucks. Anyone know a good one?.

cable modem constantly receiving packets

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the Networking forum. I'm sure someone will move it if it's in the wrong place. I have a Motorola SurfBoard 3100 cable modem hooked up to a 3c905b-tx NIC on my PC running XP Pro with all patches installed.

Win2k hardware compression during backup

I am trying to back up data of Win2k server using HP SureStore 24 backup hardware. Although the HP supports 24x tapes, i can't use the hardware compression feature, even while using Verita software. I enabled the hardware compression within the Win2k and the backup hardware, but it doesn't seem to work at all Does ...

Win 16 subsystem

Does anybody know what the win 16 subsystem is and how to manipulate it? At times under XP when I try to open an old GUI based application, I'll get a message that the win 16 subsystem is low on memory, and that I should restart the computer.

I would like to know if its posible, to install on a new hard drive D: with another operatin system ( windows 98 ), on a computer that allready have windows xp. C: I would like to have the two systems on differents hard drives, and also restart the computer from the hard drive (operating system) that i chosse.
