Trying to get X-Com Ufo Defense Gold Edition to run on Win2000 SP2. Used QFixApp on Ufo. exe (ForceDdrawEmulation. dll) and upgraded with the reg. However, the same fuzzy screen appears over and over – done the same process some times to make sure that it was being done correctly.

voodoo3 3500 3dfxtools for windows xp

I need some serious help. . . I was given a voodoo 3500 agp vid card with TV out and all the bells and whistles. . . . . . I can't find ANYTHING ;( that will let me use the 3dfxtools. . . . when I tried to install the tools, it told me to use the NT version of the software, but I cannot find the software anywhere.

Using 2 HD as raid with a backup drive

Hi, I want to use 2 30 GB hard drive in a raid 0 and a 60 GB hard drive (possibly removable) in one system and I was wondering if that is possible. I'll be using the 60 GB HD as a backup drive so that I can take it from computer to computer.

Hi everyone, Does anyone know why it takes so long for XP to log users in and out? My machines boot up very fast (all of my NICS have static IP addresses), so they get to the welcome screen very quickly.

I can install and run this fine, but maybe 1 min into the game it goes. . . umm, blocky I spose. blocky: it seems like all the sprites get flickery and blacked out, to the point where basically the entire screen is flickering between black and the origanal colours.

The Red Odyssey is a great expansion pack. . . and for a great game. Battlezone 2 bored me stiff. . . . it just didn't have it. . it being everything that got me hooked on the original. But the problem with the Red Odyssey is that it doesn't properly work under xp.

DHCP will not work from servers, why?

Scouring the net for answers, of any I have not found. I have a mixed mode domain, 2 NT 4 bdc's, 1 win2k domain controller running in pdc emulation mode< and a wink standalone. I have tried running the dhcp server on all of these servers at any given time, and also 2 at a time in other tests.

Problems with XP Service Pack 1

I am experiencing two rather annoying problems since installing Windows XP Service Pack 1: (i) My USB Intellimouse Explorer sometimes does not start when I boot up so I have to unplug the USB cable from my computer then plug it back in to get it working.
