Getting DHCP Server to ignore range of MAC addresses

Our Windows 2000 AD domain uses a DHCP server. This is fine, any Windows box on the network is automatically configured with an IP address etc. However, we have some Linux boxes that are running DHCP - these are so that we can attach set-top boxes to the network.

I have to lock down a pc today for public use. It will have only two local accounts: Administrator and Public I wanted to use local group policies to lock down the public acct. , but how do I set those policies so they don't affect the Administrator? I can give temporary admin rights to public and set the policies.

Hi, Need to find out what a RAIN controller is in Windows. Only mention of it is on Because the LOG file is written sequentially, use the setup program for your RAIN controller to set the RAID controller for the disk that holds the LOG file to 100% Writes Any help would be good.

win2k acting as a server goes down without reason or warning

We've got a tiny lan of win98 machines with one win2k machine acting as server. This machine suddenly goes down, switches itself off, after work after staying up fine all day. then if someone comes in and restarts it it'll only stay up for maybe an hour.

Here's a question for everyone: How can you tell if your power supply is working ok, short of weird problems and errors? Asus PC Probe shows the different voltages (+12, +5, +3. 3, Vcore). Is there a range that those should stay within for safety/quality?.

I recently upgraded my server from just a simple workgroup fileserver, to a domain controller. Now I have noticed that one of my folders on one of my hardrives is giving me access denied when I am logged in as the administrator account.

I got a Dell 2500 Inspiron laptop and I connect it to a CRT monitor which is about 7 years old and it's a Dell. It's been working for a year then about 2 weeks ago the screen is all blue but you can still see Windows over this blue.

SERVICES.EXE 100% CPU useage

I have a Windows 2000 machine and sometimes at startup SERVICES. EXE takes up 100% of my CPU. Sometimes this happens for a few seconds but sometimes it stays until the next time I restart. Sys. specs.

Nomad Soul Under Win2000???

Hello everybody!!! I have installed Win2000 and I can't play to Nomad Soul because the game only works under Win98 and Win95. . so Nomad Soul can't work under NT Technologies! There isn't a patch or sometinhg to do to be able to use Nomad Soul under Win2000?? Please help me.
