I just found out that QoS in WinXP reserves 20% of my bandwidth by default. And I can tell you that changing this does make a huge difference. Its easy so why not do it. Go to Start/Run/ and type gpedit.

Hi I'm having trouble with my brand new config : when I play games, my computer freezes a few minutes later and I have to reboot manually. I have the 40. 72 NVidia drivers installed. Thanks alot for your help.

Need help getting Revolution-X DOS CD to run under XP

Hi, I can't get this game to work, i even downloaded VMSound, i know i'm not doing something right, just don't know what it is. The game will load screens one at a time real slow, while the CD rom spins up for a brief momment, then silence, then a spin up to the next screen.

I have a little problem with my mail client in IE. 6. 0 SP1. In some forums u can click on the users name if u want to write an e-mail to them. When i click such a name or any e-mail link i get this message.

Win2k or XP for gaming?

I just bought another computer -used- 900mhz Duron, 256mb ram, 40gb HDD geforce 2 mx400 64mb. Anyway, which would be a better OS for this machine. Anyone experimented with both XP and 2k for gaming? The system requirements for XP seem to be twice that of 2k.

Hi. I have problems with Resident Evil 1 and 2. RE 2 installs fine, while you have to run ACT to install RE 1, but it does the job. Anyway, both games have the same problem: When I get in the game it's all veeeeery sluggish, it's like I'm running the thing on a P133.

Ls 120 wont work

Hi, I upgraded to windows xp recently and i cant get my ls 120 drive to work with ls disks. It does however work fine with 1,44 disks. Windows recognise it as: MATSHITA ls-120(so far so good) 03 SCSI(!) Disk Device.

Win2k Pro and build-in FTP server licensing.

Win2k pro has 10 concurrent licensing limitations. Does this apply to the anonymous FTP connections? I'm, just wondering if I have more than 10 anonymous users trying to log-in to the ftp server will it reject the connection after 10 users get on or the licensing only applies to actual user accounts, not FTP?.

Hi all, I just got No One Lives Forever(NOLF) with my new video card, but I am having a sound problem with it. Everything seems to run just fine except during the cut scenes. The end of a person speech gets cutoff by the next person talking.

I've H &D Deluxe and this thing has happened twice in a short period of time: Crash. Well, what else is new, when we're talking about H&D, except now the player profile has vanished after it. Gone. No more there.

I got a really old computer that's really bad. It has a 75Mhz Pentium, 24MB RAM, sound card, 1MB video card, 15GB, 56k modem and Windows 98. Now I haven't used it for a very long time and I was just planning to use it only for the internet and nothing else.

XP NFL fever NBA live prob.

Just set up an XP machine and am trying to run NBA live 2001 an NFL fever 2000. What happens is I launch the game and it sits there for at least a minute and then says error reading from CD. After clicking continue the game plays fine, reading from CD and all.
