Old Dynamix Games Under Win2000

Has anyone been able to get some of the older Dynamix or Coktel Vision (both Sierra On-Line brands) to work under Win2000? I have gotten nearly ever old Sierra DOS game to run great under Win2000 w/VDMS.

I was running WinXP w/SP1. The last changes I did to WinXP was installing the cumulative IE patch through Windows Update. However, this afternoon when I turn on my computer, it says the following errors when loading into WinXP (nothing else is loaded except the wallpaper): winlogon.

I got a deal on a Lexmark X63 printer/fax, only I can't return it or I'll get hammered with return shipping and restocking fees. I thought it had a driver that would work with my NT4 server. . . NOT! 9x, 2000 and XP drivers will not work.

I did a clean install of XP onto a newly formatted c:. Installation works fine but when I get to the screen that says Please use the next few minutes to configure Windows(translated from Swedish) my computer suddenly reboots.

Unable to hear sound while playing certain DIVX files

Hi Gang, I'm not even sure why anyone would even do this, but I've come across maybe 2 or 3 DIVX files on from KaZaA that I'm unable to play back. Basically these DIVX files are using Windows Media Audio V2 instead of Mp3 for the audio.

I'm trying to play a really (as in REALLY old DOS game) on win2k. But everytime I scroll (in the menu screen) the game automatically closes and prompt me back to desktop. Is there anyway to solve it? I downloaded and installed VMDSound and Service Pack3 as suggested.

Well, I have the problem, that the driver for the HP Deskjet 720C that is shipped with Windows 2000 is crap and HP doesn't support this operating system. Any idead which alternate driver can be used or how I can get an existing driver to work ?.

Im going to inherit an old Pentium based system within the next few weeks. The plan is to format it and use it as a file/backup server on my home network with NT4 as the OS (which it should be able to cope with fingers crossed).

I am running Win2k and I just restarted my computer and I login and the Internet Explorer Icon and all the other icons on my desktop and throught the folders seem to be fuzzy and darker, like it was windows 95 or 98.
