I bought 2x 80GB Western digital Caviar SE 8MB Drives and put them on a raid controller on IDE1 (Striping), i then put my 80GB IBM on IDE2 (Striping) on the controller by itself. My dad is putting together his own video editing system (with my help ) and we're stumped on which video card to go for. Obviously we don't want to skimp on performance, but since he's not going to be doing any 3D gaming we don't need a Ge-Force FX beast either.

i have WIN2K with SP3 and if i try to install my joystick Sidewinder dual strike with Administrator profiles i always receive the message you must have administrator right to install. . . ! I had seen this problem in other post but there is no solution , have you a solution to help me ? ps : sorry for my english.

Hallo. Sorry for my english. At me a problem with external devices, namely, the printer and the scanners. Symptoms same. For example. I scan the foto. The program, having executed process of interests on 20%, lose connection with the device.

Worked fine under 98, can't get it out of P10 mode in XP. I have it hooked up as device 0 on the secondary IDE cable with a Zip drive. i tried unhooking the zip and it didn't help. Transferring from it is very slow and sometimes I get I get error reading drive.

I know it's beta. . but still. . . . Here is the deal. . I was trying to watch some p0rn (why can't you say p0rn spelled right?) last night and you know how you click on the file and the first part is crap? Well I wanted to fast forward using the scroll bar thing.

A questions on network utilization (windows taskman)

i was transfering files from my brothers pc to mine over lan (ethernet) and was monitoring the windows taskmanager. i was connected at 100mbps and network utilization is 25 to 30% Questions: - does it mean im only utilizing 30% of the 100mbps? (30mbps?) - is there a tweak or somethign i can do to increase it? ;(.

Please help just reinstalled WinXP and now cdrom not working

ok I can see my CD-rw drive and run cds off it. I can see the icon for my dvd-rom but nothing will read or play in it. I know this drive works, I just reinstalled winxp with the same dvd-rom drive. If I go into Safe mode it works fine.

I isntalled php using the isapi filters. It works but it loads the pages very slow. My webserver is on a 10mbps connection and a AthlonXP 1900+. I only have one website on my server with aout 100 hits/day.

W2K (SP3) cannot see two of my HDs

Hi all! Two of my HDs out of four are no longer shown in my computer. One is connected to ide 2 and the other to the promise ide port 1. The mobo is an ASUS A7V333. They used to be shown. This happened after I uninstalled AstonShell that I wanted to test drive (got rid of it because it does not support dual display).

Hi I have a problem with my geforce2 MX card, when I use DX Diagnostic tool (test D3D) it gives me an error message: D3D test result: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT =0x887602eb (error code) and I also can't install 3DMark2001 SE, becase it me similar error: Could not create D3D Device.
