Installed an existing copy of Microsoft Office2000 Professional SR-1 on a new (replacement) hard drive. Unlike our original install on the old hard drive, there are no desktop icons for Word, Excell, Access, etc.

What is "Generic Host Processor for Win32"?

Have ZoneAlarm running as a firewall. It keeps popping-up with a request from a Generic Host Processor for Win32 to access the net. Can't find anything under Google regarding this. Is this something I should allow access to the net on a regular basis, if at all?.

Why does my printer not work the same on XP as with NT?

I have a Lexmark Z53 printer which I used to run connected to NT 4. 0 on a parallel port. I have recently upgraded my PC to a pentium IV and changed the operating system to XP to allow me to use USB.

this seems to be a lose-lose situation. Most sites require the use of flash in some way, but at the same time leaving it enabled causes the said security hole. .

Is there any way to configure which services start with each user? Here is an example. I have my account, which is admin. I use it for normal use. I would like to create a gaming account where no services start except RPC, Plug & Play and DHCP client.

XP falls over a lot

When bringing up my new system that has XP home this frequently takes more than one attempt before it actually succeeds. Once it is up it usually stays up but not always. I send a status report to microsoft and they say that the problem is caused by a device driver but can't say which one.

Any help appreciated. Just bought a new MOMO logitech force feedback wheel and pedals it all installed in my Win2000 OS fine and tests out OK with Logitech utilities. I have Win2000 service pack 2 loaded and DX 8.

I can't run the game the problem starts with the installation itself. Midway b/w the installation xp pops up an error message and the installation gets terminated. Someone said that disabling the xp logo check in the configuration manager might help.

This build of CD code is for Spearhead. This is an invalid build of CD code. Please fill out the ereg config form to obtain a valid CD code build. I found this at EA's support site. Its the exact same error as i get when i try to install nightfire (just replace the word 'spearhead' with 007:nightfire).

How do I remove cydoor "Spyware" from KazaA?????

I ran KazaA and removed all cases of spyware with Ad-Aware. Now there's only 6 instances left, which are all from KazaA. They're cydoor files and registry entries. If I remove them, KazaA will not load, saying I have to re-install it.

I can't run shogo on win XP. The game just doesn't run. My machine specs are: P-III 450Mhz 320 MB ram NVIDIA TNT I card with 16MB Video Ram I am using my default drivers on win XP and haven't updated any of them Do i need to update them to run the game.

Windows 98 can't access my Windows 2000 Pro shared files and printers in the network neighbourhood. It says that i must provide a password to access to \\JF-D6A958C03A4D\IPC$ Anybody know how to remove this password?.

Wierd Drive Image problem

Ok. . . here is the deal. I extract files from Drive Image then they don't show up?!! I tried extracting to both my hard drives and they don't show up. Im not understanding this. It goes through the long ass process but nothing shows up?!??!? Anyone else have this problem or know what to do?.
