Ripping causes DVD-ROM to crash???

Can anybody tell me something about the procedures that happen during Audio- and DVD-Ripping? Is Ripping likely to damage a DVD-Drive or is the loss of three of my DVD-Drives in just 11 months purely accidental? What the f*** actually does DVDx 2.

I am running a game server with w2k server as the OS. Every so often, everyone gets a high ping spike. Doesn't happen very often, but enough to annoy players. I'm hoping that some service or protocal was running that would cause this.

System will not logon user on after deploying an image

I made an image on Drive Image 2002, it was on a different hd than the one i have now. So I deployed the image to the new drive, and windows got to the logon screen but would not come up with a logon prompt or nothing just a dumb stupid LogonUI window in the middle of my screen.

Can anyone help me? I have windows xp home and Internet Explorer 6. 0. Explorer will not retain the user names or passwords after visiting a site I keep trying different setting but I can't seem to figure this one out.

Wireless Optical Blue mouse not working

Got one of these mice last weekend and installed it without any problems. Now it won't work: the cursor won't move as a move the mouse around. The red optical bit on the bottom is on and the green light on the base station is also on.

I work for a company on active directory. We need to get some of the clients up to date with service pack 3 for Windows 2000. It will be a royal pain to go around to 20 computers and install the sp3 and the other windows updates.

Hi. I've done some research on running 1830 (the old avlon hill dos game based on the original boardgame) on the net, and some people seem to be able to run it out of the box with no problems. This is only under win XP.

Instead of comparing Opera to Mozilla, you should try comparing Opera to Phoenix. I think you will find Phoenix to be a much better product than Phoenix. . . and it's based on the gecko engine too: (it's a lot faster and has more features than Mozilla too) Cheers!.

Does anyone have any sugestions on what ISP is better than most. Aren't there some cheaper ones out there? I use MSN right now. Also, is DSL worth the money, if I were to decide to go that route? Thanks!.

The guy who did it owuld have found another reason to go nuts and kill someone anyways. Instability is instability. I'd hate to see games censored or banned for reasons like this. games dont make people go nuts and kill others; being nuts in itself does that.

I've looked in the Event Viewer/Security Log and identified event ID 540 as Logon & 538 as Logoff, but there are multiple instances for each? For example, I see event ID 540 for user:Wilb ...
