I have 4 mapped drives on my computer that I use often from my school. I am stuck in a shitty building far away from the servers so the latancy is extreamly high. Whenever I view my computer, the system hangs for a while, sometimes it's VERY annoying.

Hi Guys I have an issue where there are too many admins at work and the IT manager wants to reduce the number of admins. But the demoted guys need printer and user operator, and access to tweak and amend settings on a w2k pro workstation.

How do I make a script that will restart my computer automatically say every monday morning? I had at one time a simple batch file that would restart my computer using scheduled task manager to execute it, but I can't find it, and there must be some new way to script the same thing to do it more efficiently.

FF7 FMVs working on Win2k

I've gotten my ff7 working thanks to the FF7 documentation page, and its been working fine except that my FMVs dont run. The intro doesnt run, anything where the game cuts to an FMV doesnt run, and more importantly, the Gold Saucer intro does not run.

I'm using 3D Studio Max version 1. 2 with Windows NT 4. I'm thinking about upgrading to Windows 2000 and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any problems with this. Will Max version 1. 2 work with Windows 2K? Thanks.

Flashpoint Resistance and improved graphics

I have had the Flashpoint trio for quite a while. My old machine was a p4 1. 5 with a Geforce III. I just upgraded to a P4 3. 0 Gig w/ a radeon 9700 Pro. I am actually able to turn the graphics up on Flashpoint resistance now.

When I run chessmaster 9000, displays message aplication causes errors and need to be closed. we apologize. . . I tried both typical and complete instalation, latest game patch from internet but the problem still remains.

whassup y'all got windows NT and 3 soccer games: actua soccer, virtua soccer, uefa champions league 96/97 and i cannot move mouse cursor below the middle of the screen Maybe 'cause I checked on the compatibility list that they are NOT compatible.

I cant make it work under win2000. I have Creative Labs 5. 1 Digital and Inspire 5300 speakers. . . central speaker just wont work in DIVX or MP3. when I try self test in Creative Surround Centre it work perfectly.

I've just purchased the Fuji FinePix 401 digital camera and, to my horror it's come to my attention that the software for pulling the pics off the camera is not compatiable with Wintows NT??!!!! Can anyone tell me where to find USB drivers for Windows NT which will support a digital camera?? Many thanks.

Depends quite a bit on the video resolution, video compression codec used, audio codec used. . . I'm fairly new to video encoding, editing, etc. but here's a good resource with a great FAQ section. .

Hard Disk Data Corruption?

I have a weird problem. I have 4 hard disks connected to my raid controller, but not in raid array. They are: 1x Maxtor 40 gb, 1x Segate 40gb, 1x Maxtor 20gb and 1 x WDC 20gb. The problem that i'm having is that when ever I copy a large file to my F: drive (maxtor 20gb) the data in the file is corrupt.
