I dont recall having had install problems myself (P2:350) but was able to play 'after' I had installed the official 1.2 beta patch from www.pandemicstudios.com

Received the follow messages:
1) Setup crashes, with AMD 1.2 ghz thunderbird and AMD Duron 800 mhz, with and without Service pack 2 installed, cannot install
2) I created a shortcut for the install and set the compatibility mode to windows 95 layer. This may be a beta version of compatibility modes but it still works. it has to be the install not the splash or auto-start screen. If windows 95 doesn't work try the others but windows 95 worked for me. The game works fine without the compatibility mode once its installed, i got a error while playing but it may be just my computer. My stats are as follows: 1.4Ghz Athlon, 512mb SDram, 32mb tnt2 m64, w/ win2k & sp2
