This is a discussion about I don't mean to piss everyone off.......... in the Slack Space category; Haven't you noticed that all of the questions asked here are all about Windows 2000 and the errors it has or is given out to people. Haven't you noticed that all of the questions asked here are all about Windows 2000 and the errors it has or is given out to people. Some games don't work, hardware doesn't work, BSOD, illegal operations, sudden changes in the OS. Just goes to show that the OS isn't very good. I "was" using Windows 2000 awhile ago and got rid of it because it simply stinks. I rather have better compatibility in return for the odd error or two, then have a stable OS and nothing working right. That's why it's stable, cause they made sure next to nothing works on it, they "babied" it to get it working right. Crappy apps, games and hardware support, but it's stable. Now i like Windows 2000 because of it's features, but if w2k is not going to run programs well then forget it. There was only 1 program, one that i use a lot, called RPGMaker 95. I was done testing all of my games and apps with windows 2000 and discovered they all ran, last proggy on the list was RPG Maker, go to start it, doesn't work. Because of 1 program not running, which happened to be the one i use a lot, i had to uninstall windows 2000.

edit!!
although I don't believe this anymore, it's still funny to see this post. I shouldn't have edited it, oh well...lol

I would differenciate fine malt liquor from 'beer'. I enjoy a nice 40 of 8-ball as often as possible, but I don't consider it a 'beer'.

When I'm forced to drink beer, I go for the simple Mexican brews of Corona or XX.

I prefer [H]ard alcohol though - maybe fraternity life has ruined me.

Hey people from the US...is the X-Files ending at last? Has Mulder died?
They said Duchovny wanted to quit the show...is that right?

Last I saw, they found Mulder dead in the woods.

X-Files is supposedly ending next year. Duchovny said he wouldn't be opposed to doing movies after the show was over, but he no longer wanted to do the show.

Oh good. I see more people have no life like me.

At least we're trying to accomplish something.

In other worthless news: I successfully overclocked some generic memory with Micro Q or something like that rated at PC133 to 150MHz. Id try more but Ive got the Asus A7V with the KT133 chipset. Since the ol' L1 lead pencil trick didnt work, Im stuck with FSB overclocking 6x113 clock speed ~680MHz.
Just for the heck of it my specs on the sig line.

I wonder what beer I'll like. Oh well, I turn 21 towards the end of the year. I can get smashed at the next new years eve party!

Oh, you dont know. Okay, its really simple, after you get your processor if you havent yet, or take it out of the system for this. Take a #2 lead pencil and connect the little L1 dots on the Duron/Athlon processor, do this with each pair on the L1's, but nothing else. I saw a picture of it on the web, and it helped me. Its much easier if you can see it. I dont want to go through the hell of getting the HSF off my processor again. I'll probably just cut the band that holds it down when i get a new processor or HSF, probably at the same time.

It also might help if I told you what the lead pencil trick is. After you connect the L1 bridges, you should be able to overclock the processor by increasing the clock multiplier along with increasing the voltage.
Even if youve got a mobo with the KT133 chipset on it having a limited FSB manipulation up till only 113MHz before things dont like you, if you combine the two, things will fly. Just becareful, if you screw up your hardware, the manufacturers wont replace anything if they find out you were overclocking it.

Well, that certainly might explain why that trick didnt work for me...just had to use the FSB. I used a mechanical pencil #2 .07mm lead. Should I have used a normal, wood pencil? Duron 600
