This is a discussion about whistler question in the Windows Hardware category; Any of you whistler 2257 personal users getting asked for your whistler personal CDs on startup because of file protection?? It keeps happening to me i think its because of the DX 8 beta i installed not sure though.

if Whistler don't impress you now, it will in the future.
Because, it's only common sense to like a customizable OS that is now or will be faster than Windows 2000, plus more. If you
don't like it, you need to get a reality check and hope that the check doesn't bounce

DosFreak- What did you think of the Whistler OS? Since jdulmage is so PRO for it, I just want to hear from someone else.

I too have issues with Jdulmage's statements but this isn't the thread for 'em. I might post my views later though when I get a Whistler beta. Whistler 2257 is still too early for a proper review.
