Any way to stop computername in username?

I have 2 W2K systems. Is there any way to keep the computername from attaching itself to the username? EX: Terry automatically becomes Terry. Enterprise (if enterprise is the computer name). My first installation didn't do that.

Memory Usage seems abnormal

W2K, 1GB of ram, dual 1ghz processors. I'm finding that for example when I open up photoshop 6, it takes up around 30mb of ram. Then I start opening up some small jpgs (each less than 800kb) around 15 of them and the memory usage (in taskbar) goes up to 300mb !! 8) Then I open up 3DS Max, it takes around 60mb of ra ...

Hello all: I'm running Win2K SP 2. When I right click a shortcut there is now a Compatibility tab there, and I can choose either Win95, Win98 or WinNT from a drop down list, to try and get the program in question running.

backing up to CD_RW

gotta

how can I backup my HD to a CD-RW? when i try to do it and select G in the backup wizzard i get an error G is not a vaild drive or you do not have access to it but yet i can copy CD's on it I am logined in as administer what am I doing wrong

Why won't my HTTP server allow others access?

My HTTP server works for me. . . but when anyone other than on my local machine tries to view my webpage it says server not found. I also assume i have everything set up fine. I used the wizard(laugh).

I installed SP1 from windows update. After the install it boots up to a blue screen and tell me there was an error on my harddrive and to reboot. Will I rebooted and rebooted and rebooted same and still the same thing.

My Boot. ini file is Missing. . . When i boot. . . i get an error Invalid BOOT. INI file Booting from c:\winnt BUT. . . . it boots any way. . so i decided to go see that the problem was. . . like if there was an accidental typo or something.

Win2K pagefile setup qeuestion.

I have 192MB ram and have set my pagefile in Win2K to 320MB (min and max). The query is when I run Sisoft Sandra and DxDiag (System) they both show the pagefile as being 493MB?, giving me a total of 685MB.

Windows 2000 server/IIS problem I need some help/advice

Can someone tell me why I cannot get my ASP scripts to run? = Background Info = I recently installed Windows 2000 server and SP1 on the 2nd partition of my home PC. I closed the Configure Your Server dialog box because this OS is running on a standalone box and I have no need for all the network stuff.

Someone mentioned before that they wanted a way to incorporate everything into a windows 2000 install (i. e. WMP7, IE6, DX8 etc), this lets you do it. Quality. .
