I'm curious as to what settings would be best for XP. I must admit that the default settings are a HELL of a lot better then any Win 9x default settings but I just wanted to get an idea from you longer using Win 2k/XP users.

Can't install RC1!

No matter what I try I can't get RC1 installed. Right after the first file copy process, just as it's about to go into the GUI section of the setup, it just goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor (I waited 25 minutes).

Yep, the start menu (and some different things) just works sometimes. . . . Run, Search and Help and Support doesn't always work. . . Well, I don't care about help, but I hate that none of 'em work more than 1/15 times.

Will SP3 W2K be needed ever arrive ?

I'm thinking that with XP around the corner, could we see Microsoft stop 'supporting' W2K saying that 'it's there' in an effort to get us to go to XP ?? I'm very content with W2K (don't know about how others are fairing under SP2) so it could be that an SP3 might not be needed anyway.

I realize this may sound like a stupid thing to worry about but I'm really into graphics and I notice things like this The problem is all of my Icons are very low-quality. They look like they are in low color-depth mode.

I need command line that will show all of my. class files in seperate sub dirs. IE: dir /s *. class Basiclly, this is what i need, but I need to pass them as a parameter to zip. In unix I would do something like: find -type f -name *.

Why is it that when you try to access a hard drive on a Win2k machine through a win98 machine, it gives you this weird password crap that no one I know has been able to deal with? I've tried to figure this out, but I still haven't gotten anywhere farther.
