Can I dual boot XP like this?

Hi, I wan't to dual boot XP with either 98se or winME(i know it sucks think SE cd is dead though) to play some games that don't function too well in win2k/xp. I was wondering if I could format, install win98 to say c:\win98 then just install XP to c:\windows would it still work? Thanks -acid.

Under NT4 and 2000 you could create a rescue disk and backup the registry can I still do this in XP? I checked Administrative Tools and Backup and couldn't find it. .

Hi, I repaired my XP a while ago (some Via 4-in-one driver killed it) after repairing the windows update broke. . . He keeps finding the SAME critical update. . . after installing (succesfully) and rebooting, it finds the same again.

I installed WinXP Pro 2 months ago and it was running fine. Yesterday when I installed Lotus Smartsuite Millenium, after rebooting, I noticed the computer is sluggish. I checked Task manager and saw that svchost.

Hi, I have a Maxtor 7200 ATA 66 30GB HDD. I'm just wondering why the drive feels so slow! And how can I speed it up? Sometimes, when I launch a program (eg. Internet Explorer), the LED light will come on, but I don't hear the hard drive moving.

Taskbar woes

Well, I got used to Win2k's taskbar. If you have 50 windows open, it just crams every single one of them into the space you have allocated. Now, Winxp throws in the little 'up/down' arrow. Will someone tell me how to get rid of the arrows, and go back to the Nt5.

This is extremely irritating. Often when I try to install new programs, Rundll is trying to access the net, and Norton pops up with that stupid message. Well, I am not stupid (Which Microsoft obviously thinks), and do not need all that automatic Crap.
