Windows XP / 98SE dual boot..need help

I currently have only Windows XP installed on my system. However, I recently found an old 2 GB hard drive and put it in my computer. I would like to put Windows 98 SE on this second drive. I tried formatting the second drive to FAT32, then copying all the setup files from the WIn98 cd to the same drive.

It might be easier in the long run to setup an extra folder in Outlook, and have the rule move all spam emails into that. You can then have a quick scan through it, move out any you want to keep, and then trash the rest.

No Repair disk, can't find Win2k install dir

I am trying to fix a machine, it seems to start to boot fine, but then flashes a blue screen so quickly, you can't read it and it reboots. I boot with a WIN2K boot disk, it can't find the installation directory so repair fails.

hangs on restart

I have had this problem for a while but never addressed it. My system is XP Pro SP1. 1800 AMD A7V266-E KT266A Chipset ASUS V7100 graphics card If I select the restart option my computer will hang.

system hangs for seconds?

im running xp pro and every now and again the system will hang for 30secs or so, i can switch between programs, but cannot do anything on the programs?!! this is becoming a bit of a pain ! any ideas? ive run scandisc and NAV Thanks

WinXP processes never stop writing to harddrive with c/instl

I have been experimenting after i found out that my Windows XP computer kept on writing to the harddrive endlessly. Even during idle time when no programs at all were runing. I got curious and installed windows XP clean on my laptop (different hardware i thought would maybe help).

Well for starters I imagine that the system account doesnt belong to the authenticated users but only the everyone group. . . perhaps thats why the machine upon reboot sets the settings back to default.
