CD-RW: Can browse folders, but not run any files

I have some files burned onto a CD-RW that cannot be accessed. I can browse & open folders without problem, but opening/running files within the folders is another story. I used Nero to burn, & was told that the burn was completed successfully.

Windows 2000 Server

I need mirroring and was anoyed to find that only the Server version supports this. Does Windows 2000 Server run everything (game wise, program wise) that Windows 2000 Pro would?.

WinXP SP1 Problem

I can't get Winxp SP1 to work smooth on my computer, everytime I close a window explorer, I have this delay, everything pauses for about 1 second, for example, when open windows explorer, browse around, close it and right click on something or click on the start button, it pauses for 1 second and then the menu pops up.

after installing XP SP1 System is not as stable as before

just got XP SP1 about 2 weeks ago, but i have a feeling my windows is not as stable. i had to reinstall my graphics and audio drivers and my explorer crashes and restarts on every little event. I'm not overclocking the system anymore and ran Ramtester and Burn-in tests on the computer but there is no Hardware problems.

Please help. I am running Win2000 Pro stand alone. I have a cd rewriter installed running the latest Nero. I also have a usb scanner installed. Both work perfectly when anyone who is in the Administrators group is logged in.

My InstallShield has an attitude problem

OK, what's going on here, could someone explain. When I first tried to install Thief 2 and now Acrobat Reader 5. 0 the InstallShield does come up, starts the installation up to 99% readiness and the crashes/closes.

DVD Overlay Error, direct 3d inactive

I recently aquired a compaq evo laptop with mobility radeon 7500 grafix card, Running win2k sp2 I keep getting the overlay error when ever i try to watch dvds in windvd, ive tried all the usual screen res and colour depths but to no avail.

Recently, I was hit by Bugbear and it did some havoc on my PC (Win2kPro). It could have been a double-virus, actually, since Bugbear is not supposed to do such damage as it did. Anyway, I got it off, but ever since there has been an array of new problems.

How to ghost a dual boot 98 and XP drive ??

Hey thanx for looking. I got a 80gb drive that i'd like to split into 2 partitions and have XP on 1 40gb NTFS partition and 98 on the other 40gb fat32 partition. Trouble is that when i imaged each partition i forgot to image the MBR and i lost the windows boot manager.

UPS Tab not Visable In Power Options

Text in italics...weird

I reboot after running my win2k system for about 3 days. Now text on websites (which don't specify text style) is in italics, same goes for the playlist in winamp and a couple other apps. I edit appearance in display options and it does not change anything.
