It's an amazing game from like 1997. I'm running win2k SP2, and the last tiem I tried installing it, I ran into the weirdest problem: EVERY shortcut (new or existing) on my entire ssytem would NOT launch.

3DMark 99 MAX Pro (MadOnion or FutureMark)

Has anyone managed to get 3DMark 99 working under WinXP??? I've tried several things including running it in compatibility mode. . . After installation, attempting to run the software results in an error complaing that DirectX 6.

There's a part in the game when your in Cosmo Canyon and you have to listen to the old man's story in his observatory. When he starts talking it goes then when the white text come out it just stays there but the game is still running.

hi all, Well, this is the deal. My bro and i both have PC's with Counterstrike loaded onto. Whenever i try and connect to his games it works fine. . . . , but when he tried to connect to me he cant. I have disabled all of Xp's firewall crap, but with no result.

System reboots during Games :(

On occasions the system just reboots when im playing games, including Half-life, Quake3, Vampire etc. I have the system set to auto reboot upon errors, so why does it still reboot? im dual booting WinME/Win2k and it never occurs in WinMe.

OK, so this is bit pathetic, but I can't figure out how to select the sound card for the SH1. The installation goes fine till I have to choose one of the possibilities for soundcard, and no matter what I do, I don't seem to be able to get it right= no installation completed.

I can't stand EA and their lack luster support for games. Even today they refuse to acknowlege Windows 2000 as an alternative OS. Of all the games out there, EA games suck at running under Windows 2000.

After buying this game several days ago. . . right off the bat I was having problems with the game stuttering VERY BADLY at several points in the game. Some tracks were worse than others. I visited the EA forum and noticed that everyone else was having the same problem on different machines.
