Half Life trouble

I have Windows XP Pro installed on a PIII 700 Laptop, ATI M4 graphics card, I also have an old version (original of half life) which will install no problem on my Win98 machine under FAT 32. But when I try to run the install on my XP machine nothing happens I run setup.

For the Final Fantasy fans: It's just over 11MB, and it's in Japanese, but all you need to do is run the. exe file. I got 5219, with a P4 2. 26/533 and a Geforce4 Ti4400 Post your scores. .

Hi there, was someone of you able to get Crusader: No Regret or Crusader: No Remorse running under Win2k? I've tried everything I could come up with but wasn't that successful up to now. It always throws the following error at me when trying to start it: Fatal Error 286.
Seriously --anything wrong with using XP's compatibility DB?

Hi everyone, Does anyone know how to get Screamer 2 running on XP? I tried to get the resolution as low as possible as suggested before here in this forum, but lowest I can reach is 800x600. I also downloaded the Full Patch provided on But pressing S2.

I tried the Nvidia 40. 72 with Links 2003. After installing the Nvidia 40. 72, Links 2003 ran fast. . . however, I started to get some video glitches. The glitches seems to occur when changes were made on the screen.

Is the single player value any good? I wan't to play this game, but I HATE, DESPISE, LOATHE online playing. There are to many jackasses out there for it to stay fun. Should I bother or stick with MoH:AA (and Spearhead for the matter)?.

The game works fine until I get to a football game. When the football game starts the colors are totally messed up. I don't know what the problem is. I would appreciate any help I can get. .

Anyone looking forward to the Need For Speed title, I know I am, I just hope that the PC version will be similar in terms of features to the Playstation 2 version. Oh by the way EA, I hope you make it run properly under Windows 2000, unlike Porsche Unleashed and High Stakes.

I just strated to play AvP2 for the first time and the graphics are absolutely horrible. From the briefing cut-scenes onwards the display is filled with various kinds of 'geometrical' (for lack of better word) patterns, mostly seem to be triangulars,flashing, changing and giving me a headache.

How did you do it? I just did a fresh format (ntfs) and a clean install of xp. Soon as it was up, I installed ff7 and tried it, didn't work. Set compatibility to win98, didn't work. So then I installed newest dx8.

Sidewinder software on 2k

I can't get the sidewinder profile software(original software not sidewinder 2) to install on my 2k machine. it says it cant install on an NT box. i know that there is no way around this but is there other software that can take it's place? i play mechwarrior 3 and 4 and certain things i want done thru the joystick ...

I wnt to be able to play these games ( or other Worms games ) on either my NT or 2K Box. They work fine under 98 of course, but I cannot get them to even install under NT. Any thoughts?.

windows 2000 detects the wrong sidewinder

Hi there, I have a problem installing my microsoft sidewinder gamepad. i chose the automatic detection and the sidewinder 3d pro appears and it's not even connected! 8) 8) tried the latest gameport drivers (sb 16 pci) but it wouldn't work.
