Hi, I can't install Commandos, the installer just says that I need a Win9x system. But in a compability update from Microsoft the game is listed. Does anyone know how to install it?.

Old Dynamix Games Under Win2000

Has anyone been able to get some of the older Dynamix or Coktel Vision (both Sierra On-Line brands) to work under Win2000? I have gotten nearly ever old Sierra DOS game to run great under Win2000 w/VDMS.

I'm trying to play a really (as in REALLY old DOS game) on win2k. But everytime I scroll (in the menu screen) the game automatically closes and prompt me back to desktop. Is there anyway to solve it? I downloaded and installed VMDSound and Service Pack3 as suggested.

Isn't there a util out there that can help with the stuttering problem some DOS games have under NT based OSes? The excellent VDMSound app has brought back the joy that is DOS gaming. . . but can I have the speed back too?.

I have installed X-Wing Alliance under win xp pro. During the installation i haven't got any poblem but when I try to start the play, desappears the menu of the autorun and not starts. I have PIII 800 and GeForce 2 GTS.

Rogue Spear - XP pro - problem!

Anyone else having a problem with Rogue Spear and XP? My screen is very glitchy and when i go to jump down off something I ALWAYS die from getting stuck. . . If anyone knows of any fixes that would be great.

Try this for some shiny mirror finish cars, modify the reflection. ini in you \cars\ subdirectory with the following: reflection. ini ' Controls the brightness of the environment map. Select 0-255 for each RGB channel.

GTA3 problems

I'm having problems with GTA3. Namely it's not working smoothly in1024x768x32, it simply glitches sometimes. I've got Athlon XP 2000, 512 RAM, Win XP Professional, Radeon 9700 pro, and that's what suprises me most as it's the most powerful card in the market at the moment and it cannot handle GTA3 in hi-res.

Need help getting Revolution-X DOS CD to run under XP

Hi, I can't get this game to work, i even downloaded VMSound, i know i'm not doing something right, just don't know what it is. The game will load screens one at a time real slow, while the CD rom spins up for a brief momment, then silence, then a spin up to the next screen.

Resident Evil 1 and 2

Hi. I have problems with Resident Evil 1 and 2. RE 2 installs fine, while you have to run ACT to install RE 1, but it does the job. Anyway, both games have the same problem: When I get in the game it's all veeeeery sluggish, it's like I'm running the thing on a P133.
