Hi there. I have Supreme Snowboarding (full version) and it doesn't work on my system (Win2k). Usually I would give up and boot to Win98, but then I noticed something: There is a compatibility patch for Boarder Zone in ACT 2.

Win2k making certain DOS games "frozen"

I'm having an odd problem with certain old DOS games, which, according to all the sources I can find, should work fine in win2k, albeit with no sound in some cases (eg. Tyrian 2000). Basically, when I run the executable, the game will seem to load and the menu, or the first load-screen, will show.

logitech wingman rumblepad second joystick not working thats pretty much it i emailed the tech support, got nothing they just told me to get the new drivers then said it was dx8's problem i waited for dx9 and NOOOOOO that was not the problem.

I just got finished building a new computer. Everything seems to run okay except games. When I try to play a game, the game freezes. The games I have tried so far are Medal of Honor - Allied Assault and Red Faction.

Heya I work in a internet caffe, so we need to disallow setup of programs for our customers. I have set up an account with limited right (user) so our customers can't setup disalowed programs. Every games work fine, but not half life.

Hi, I'm trying to run Tie Fighter Collector's CD-ROM in win2k pro Install goes just fine (apart from having no compatible soundcard) then trying to start the game tie. exe gives this error: VESA BIOS not detected Hires mode may not be available Then it asks about runnig UNIBVE to simulate VESA bu that doesn't work ...

Contrary to the compatibility information listed on this site, it does run, though it's not exactly playable, at least on my computer. Sometimes it complains about not being able to copy level data onto the hard drive (I find copying the CD to your hard drive helps a lot in this case) and other times Windows hisses ...

I am having a problem playing this game on my new computer using XP. The computer crashes back to the desktop when I try to complete the puzzles. I was able to get a saved game to bypass one of the slider puzzles but now I'm trying to get the water/scale puzzle to work and get bounced back to the desktop each time.

System Shock 1 Win NT/2K/XP solution found!

Please go to and check out the post by Mok. He has been able to re-write the cdshock. exe to work under NT/2K/XP. Read the entire thread as it contains valuable info on how to run the game properly.

I have been reading a number of threads here dealing with DOS games and their conflicts with XP. Which is what lead me to join this place. To the problem: I've played Fantasy General on Win95 and Win98 with no trouble in the past.
