Yet another question about the Sims 2

I installed The Sims 2, and when I tried to run it, I got an error message, apprently DirectX 9. 0c needs a the correct graphics compatible adapter. I installed every directX thing known to man, and tried to install it on another PC, with no luck, apprently the adapter had an internal problem with that one.

Hi I'm not very good at computers and need help wit the sims 2. I bought the game and i intalled it and it was fine. However when i try to play it the game won't load and a message pops up saying the following: failed to find any DirectX 9.

Sims 2 HELP in Windows XP 64-bit edition

My SIMS 2 installed fine in the 64-bit edition but when I click to play it says it cannot find the cd and insert the correct cd and restart. Has anyone gotten it to work in the 64-bit edition??? Also any games specificaly for that windows edition.

K i installed rs again i play on gamespy when i join a server its fine but when the server starts to load for the mission to start it kicks me back to gamespy ON EVERY SERVER so no i didnt get kicked or booted So i tryed to reinstalled it but this time when it started to install it said this error Error Name : 16 b ...

I loaded Simms Deluxe and it worked just fine. Now as it starts to load, it gets to where it is loading the emotional parameters and hangs a minute then kicks me back to the desktop screen. No error message is produced.

When I play Rainbow6 Rogue Spear, after a while of playing, if I select load plans in the setup phase, my system completely reboots! But I have had a lot of other probs as well - Outlook slow as snail mail, Outlook Express taking forever to download messages, system slowing down and behaving erratic.

I am a newbie so with this in mind. . . . i have a few DOS based games that i have blown the dust off and would like to play again. the error that keeps coming up is the application is trying to access the drive directly or something to that effect.

Hi i was just wondering if someone could help me. Right now I am running Windows 2000 Professional and I am getting a Windows XP Professional soon. I would like to buy SIM CITY 3000 UNLIMITED for my computer but i am NOT sure weather it will work on my computer or if there are any sideaffects from installing it.

I'm looking at purchasing a new computer, as my old one hasn't a chance at running the SIMS 2 - the new game my daughter has to have. Anyway, most entry level systems, in my neck of town, that don't have a built in graphics card use a ATI 9200SE 128MB card.

i need some help i can get the game to work in win2k but i can't get the movies to work in the game. . it works to view with windows mediaplayer so i have the codec installed but it just turns black when the game is supposed to play a movie.

hi again,The problem here is that i just bought a copy of close combat 4 Battle of the bulge and it does not work on Windows XP. Can any one of you have a reasonable explanation or a solution for this,please post it.

Hello I have just bought a copy of Red Alert hoping that it would get me through my student life (with beer. ) I installed it using the compatibility thingy (which I turned to win 95 as told) it comes up with this error message when I load the program.

@ guy with autoexec. nt prob the reason for this message is: This file dosn't exist in you win\system32 dir. You have to copy it from your win\repair dir to the system32 manually. make sure its copyprotected, or it will be deleted after your next reboot.

Infinite Loop sound crash in Counter-Strike

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else here got infinite looping sound problem in Counter-Strike? Like I would be playing CS for like 20 mins then the game would freeze and the sound would loop forever.
