Microsoft says that win2k will be shipped with 7. 0a but it only has 7. 0. There is a download for 7. 0a on microsoft's site, but it says only for win9x platforms. Is there anyway win2k users will be able to upgrade to this??.

Getting a 60 Hz refresh rate in Q3 under win 2000, help!!!!!

Im stumped. At the same res, same colour depth etc as the desktop, i get 60hz instead of 85Hz. its killing me!! This is the only reasong im even keeping win 98, cause other than that win2000 suits me down to the ground.

I spotted this game going cheap in a software store today, so I picked it up, under the presumption that it worked under NT 4. 0 (which it does according to this site). I tried running it straight off - no joy, it refused to install under NT.

Ok people. We have all been suffering discrimination from the software and hardware companies because we are Win2k gamers. This game won't run, that game won't run, that new rip *ss videocard and soundcard has broken or non-existent drivers.

K, here's the prob. I'm running Win2k with a Explorer mouse, in the games Unreal Tourney and Quake 3 I get mouse lag, pauses, and some times my mouse buttons seem to stick when I shoot causing the guns to continuosly fire even when I'm not pressing the buttons.

ok, i don't know whats wrong with soldier of fortune. the game works, everything is cool, but i can't pick 3DFX OpenGL as my display driver in the game to use my 3dfx card. it works with Default OpenGL, but its a lot slower then it would be with real 3dfx going.

ok, i was trying to run the crusher time demo on my comp to benchmark it. i have 3d now opengl for quake 2. not sure if theres a different version i should use instead but thats what i am currently running.

Unreal + 5. 13 Drivers = Better Performance in GL. I just installed Unreal and updated it to version 2. 25f. As soon as I configured Unreal for GL and set the resolution at 800x600, the game play is very smooth, and entering different levels or turning corners did not show as much slowdown as before.

Hey I just saw this on the Microsoft Website. It says it's some sort of debug version of the Windows 2000 DirectX run time. Not sure what it does or if it'll make any difference. Check it out and tell me wussup.
