UDMA66 and W2k

I just bought myself a new UDMA66+ capable HD (IBM) but cannot get it to work in UDMA mode in w2k. When I activate UDMA in the BIOS w2k reports it's working in PIO mode and when I disable UDMA in the BIOS w2k reports DMA mode.

Ram problems?

I think im having some problems with my ram, but im unsure. My first question is, are there any programs that test your ram that will run under windows 2000? I could probably boot into dos also to test my ram if neccisary.

HP 9100 CD-RW and Windows 2000 how-to???

I`m going to buy a HP9100 CD-RW next week, so i wanted to make sure that i have everything right in place for installing it on my Windows 2000 box. Note: this special offer may not include all of the software which is bundled, so please don´t answer like It´s all in the box.

Dual cpu motherboard suggestions

Im currently running dual p3-500's on a gigabyte 6bxd motherboard and have decided that I will upgrade to either dual p3-800's or 850's. This will require me to purchase a new motherboard and im not too sure whats best for me.

I got this from Alastair Upton on the creative labs sblive newsgroup so I am sharing it here. Until CL releases drivers that work under SMP, a great solution is to go to your boot. ini file. Copy the windows2000 boot entry there and add the flag /ONECPU to the second (or first if you prefer).

is the Intel PC Camera Pack compatible with w2k?. I couldn't find any w2k drivers anywhere on the net & there's no w2k support by intel for the camera. what about Intel PC Camera Pro Pack? thanks, system: p3-xeon 550, 256mb, scsi 9.

SBlive, Directx, EAX and BSOD under win2k

Every time I play a game like diablo II or Unreal Tournament (under windows 2000) I get a BSOD (DRIVER_IRQ_LESS_OR_EQUAL) or a system reboot (depending if the autoreboot feature is selected or not) this may not happen the firts time but if log out and then login back again it happens for sure.

Hey Guys - I recently purchased an Avatar Shark Parallel Port removeable storage drive. I love it, but can't find drivers for Windows 2000. Does anyone have a copy of drivers as the company went out of business about a 1 1/2 years ago.

anyone know if these drives work in windows 2000? or has anyone even used one for that matter? i've never heard of them , any info or feedback would rock. 2. 2 gigs for 30 bucks sounds amazing. . . if no one knows what i'm talking about, go to castlewood.

Go to Device Mangaer Do you Computer click on the + DBL Click on it go to Driver click on Driver Update change to Standard PC all so update you bios by disable ACPI. You will losee ACPI & Hibernation mode.

Win2000 CD Boot and setup

I have AHA-2940 SCSI Card and Teac532S SCSI CD-ROM. I try to Boot and install win2000 from Win2000 Pro CD. But it fail. (I set the SCSI BIOS can boot from CD-ROM Already) Then I use another SCSI Card MDX-3194UP, It boot well.
