OpenGL trouble with Banshee on Win2k Pro

I recently switched to a Diamond Monster Fusion, and installed 3dfx's Beta drivers, for lack of ANY support whatsoever from Diamond/S3. Direct3D seems to work semi-ok, but OpenGL has been a headache trying to use.

Computer REstarts itself

I have an Elsa Gladiac Video Card on a Athon 700mhz system. I play Unreal TOurnament with no problems. Just got Diablo 2 and while playing the computer restarts itself. It doesn't just crash to desktop, the whole computer just restarts as if someone hit the reset button.

Mobo question and $NT.....$ question

First off: What's a good temperature for an Mobo to run at? Mine usually is at around 105 degrees with just 1 fan(excluding Power Supply, CPU, and videocard), but I have 2 more in the mail. Also. .

what is devldr32.exe for?

this file was installed when i installed the new creative labs live drivers (driver only, not liveware). it loads up with the computer and uses 2mb of system memory! i cant end the process in task manager either.

DVD 4 Speaker Downmixing with W2K and LW3??

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did a quick search for DVD and came up with nothing. . . I have an SB Live! using the new LW3 drivers that Creative just released. . . I was hoping this would allow me to use 4 speaker downmixing when watching DVDs, but so far I havent been able to get it to work.

Slot 1 - Socket 370 converters?

Hi, Seen plenty of 'socket to slot' converters doing the rounds. Would allow me to insert a 'FlipChip' PIII into a slot1 motherboard. Do converters the other way around exist? IE. To plug a Sloti PIII 650 Coppermine into one of the forthcoming 815 chipset motherboards? If they do, who makes them? Cheers as always.

I know that this is potentially a problem-laden system. . . so any help would be greatly appreciated. BSODs for the first time really in Win2k I'm running a Creative Labs Annhilator Pro on Det. 5. 32 at AGP4x, but not fastwrites(screwed up the system) I'm running a Creative Labs SB Live! with the LiveWare 3 drivers.

Matrox G400 and DVDMax feature

I have problems using the Matrox G400 DVDMax option in W2K. When I try to watch. asf or. avi file with the mediaplayer the TV-out works only about 1 time out of ten. What I mean is that the TV stays blank and no picture is shown.

I notice when you check adapter information under Win2k It only reports having 32meg of ram. What might be causing this because the voodoo5 has 64 megs on board. .

Well. . the powers that be at intel have pulled the plug on the SRAM boards from both classes. . the 820's are already done. . the i840's are going to be recalled in their entirety later this week. How do I know.

Modem tweaking

I've got a 56k dial up connection that I think may need tweaking so some advice would be appreciated. It's a USR 56k v90 ISA modem which works fine under W98, but in W2K it has an annoying but liveable fault whereby it seems limited in it's throughput.
