This is my first post from a brand new system made of an Asus CUV4X powered by a Cel2 566@850 MHz The Celery booted at 850 and loaded W2K right from the box. I did'nt even bother to run it at default 66.

Anybody have any insight to when Creative is going to release real drivers for the dxr3 DVD decoder. I have been waiting patiantly since April and have only seen a half ass beta. I have been forced to run Win Me.

Using Ram for Video Ram???

I run windows 2k on my p2 400 laptop and it runs flawlessly. My only problem is that this laptop only has a 4mb video card. I was wondering if there is any software or anything i can do so my video card can share or use some of my normal pc ram.

ARGH I got the topic misspelled. . it should be: Why does my gfx card not work in win2k ops. . my bad hello. . I have a Creative TNT2 ULTRA and it wont work in win2k pro. i get that the resources are in use by the agp controller.

Hi, I've got Aopen DX6G Plus dual 500mhz and a geforce 256 running w2k. I can't get it to work I've tried: upgrading the motherboard bios, using the latest drivers, I reinstalled w2k three times last night.

OK. I have two hdd's in my computer, they are both 12. 1 GB Quantum Fireball CX's. Today i went to go play some mp3's from a folder in my D drive, and winamp wouldn't load them. I tried to open the folder and it says that the file is corrupted and unreadable.

You guys want to know why your systems are randomly shutting down or why you get caught in a reboot loop? The answer is that 2000 will shut itself down if there is a problem. Somewhere you have a screwy driver or 2000 doesnt like you hardware or bios settings.

I have a machine running Windows 2000 Pro. I installed Unreal Tournament and Age of Empires 2. And rebooted, now i'm stuck in a reboot loop. And it crashes when i get to the driver agp440. sys. Has anyone had this problem or one similar? Please help, it is my main machine and I need it back up fast!!!! Ancker Jade.

FIC Tech support sent me Windows 2000 bios update for PA-201

Guys you may or may not be interested in this. I was getting ready to install Windows 2000 on my system and I wanted to make sure that my current motherboard would be up to spec so I emailed FIC techsupport and told them that I have the second newest bios available for my board.

I have a Win2000Pro/SP1 setup using Asus P3C + Piii/933 + 256ECC RDRAM + Matrox MGA400max +Adaptec 29160 + SBLive Platinum / Drive etc After installing Soundblaster liveware 3. 0 (drivers only) and Matrox lates drivers my computer cannot wake up after standby mode.

I wondered if anyone can throw out some ideas of how hot a CPU should be allowed to get. I have my overclocked to 667MHz, and it throws about 91F under normal usage, and about 114F under a full load (SETI or Unreal/Quake).

I've heard both good and bad things about windows 2000. I was wondering whether a jump from NT 4 to 2000 is worth it and if so, what am I getting that isn't offered in NT 4. 0 other than full PnP and USB support?.
