Whistler and forcing agp 1x

Hope someone can help me here. I got Whistler installed, and I must say, its very very nice. Alas, powerstrip is not compatible with it And, for me to use my geforce 2 gts, I have to force it to agp 1x (which I do in Win98se/W2k with powerstrip).

Hey, are there any GOOD dual p3 motherboards out there that support a gigahertz besides that abit vp6? I hate abit after my current experience with my bx133 raid. It wouldn't even run my gighz processor even with a bios update.

Hi, I have got Win2k/Whistler on C without any partition using the same program files. I have installed Encarta in Win2k, but when I try to install it in Whistler, it says, it the folder already exist, choose a different folder.

Two days ago I bought a geforce2 MX DDR. I love this card, the performance kicks ass when it works. So far i've tried almost every set of detonator drivers imaginable, i've tweaked bios settings and used dxdiag to disable agp hoping that this would help.

I've been trying to install my 3com 509b in Whistler Beta 1. . . and I've had no luck doing so. Apparently, there are no 3com drivers in the database. Any idea as to what is going on?.

I get no mouse accelleration in quake 3, I have it enabled and set to medium in advanced pointer options. It does work fine on the desktop, but not in quake 3! Removing Win2k

I just installed the latest beta of Whistler, and can't figure out how to remove my previous install of Win2k. What do I do? Also, is there some way to do a clean install of Whistler, instead of having to install over a previous operating system? I noticed there is no support for install disks CrashNBurn.

Guys, Just noticed that IE Scroll Bars do not take on the skin. The Scroll bars in my computer and looks nice but as soon as I change to Internet Explorer. It changes back to the old windows one. Did they forgot to change it? ARC.

Windows won't save my settings

When I install Windows 2000 on a frsh install it won't save any of my settings such as resolution change or when I need to change drivers. Any suggestions. And yes I am in administrator mode. .

dma on hd won't work

Dma on my harddrive in Windows 2000 won't work. It worked fine in Windows 98. If I choose dma if available in the system manager it will only get PIO even thougt I know the hd can handele dma mode. Any solutions to this? The drive is a 10 GB Quantum ata/33.

Yo everyone, Just downloaded Whistler off the MDSN site (you must have an account) and all I can say is WOW! The install was a breeze, I was asked 2 questions and was given the option to change my network settings and that's it.

GRR!! CD ROM DRIVE LOCKS UP!!

Occasionally, only in Win2k, my cdrom drive just freezes the computer, while my computer is reading from it, the computer just freezes, and the only way to restart it is to unplug it physically. My computer doesnt respond to anything, including numlock/capslock.
