Is there actually a BIOS upgrade for the GeForce 2 MX Video card? I don't see any on Asus or Nvidia, but was curious if there was one to flash the video bios with. Thanks.

I am looking into buying a 3com X-jack network card for my laptop. I dont want one of those network cards with the dongle thing as they always seem too flimsy, is this a good alternative? is it quite strong? any input is welcome.

How powerfull need a PSU be?

I have a fairly stuffed PC and I’m experiencing some problems that might just be power related. If I start a calculation that is requiring a lot of CPU power (Task Manager / Performance), the fan / HD noise pitch changes.

Got a copy of Whistler Beta 2 this morning after about an hour of downloading. . . I'm wanting to install it on my good machine, a 1. 4 ghz Tbird. i've not played with XP since Beta 1, as I tend to wait for the major beta releases.

Has anyone gotten the liveware working for windowsXP. . . . . I have the live drive bay and I cannot get any inputs to be recognized since I upgraded to XP. . . I have tried the latest and older 2000 drivers.

win2k soundcard situation - what do you do?

There are NO 100% working sound cards for win2k. This is slight conserning because WindowsXP which is supposed to replace the 9x codebase is not far from release. An OS is nothing without hardware support (read: DRIVERS) so hardware manufactorers better shape up quickly.

Now here's something bizarre: can you say No Start Programs Well, my 98 using friend sure can. This is a clean install, but he doesnt want to install AGAIN. Plus, hes hooked on System Shock 2 and doesnt want to have to fight his way back to his place right now.

Just curious here, the 4in1 4. 29 drivers I installed made my Maxtor 15GB Ultra ATA100 Drive state as a Maxtor 5 1536H2 SCSI Disk Device. Anybody know the deal or if this could be a problem? Also just noticed that the DVD rom was also indicated as a SCSI CdRom Device (on seperate IDE channel) Would also like to kno ...

Hi Guys, I have at the moment one computer (with 2 monitors). I want to buy a second computer but I don't want to buy a second mouse or keyboard keyboard (or monitor). I want give the new computer one of the 2 monitors and 'share' the keyboard and mouse (data connected via a lan which is already in place and working).

ok, i just installed beta 2 and WOW! what an OS. Its so much better than previous builds. Increased stability, increased compatiblity, and speed. all i can say is wow! oh yeah. EZCD 5 Platinum finally works with this build.

I just purchased an IWill KK266 motherboard, a 1. 1GHz Tbird, a new case with 300W PS (Enlight), and a stick of KTI 128MB PC133 SDRAM. A few of the problems I'm running into include: sometimes POSTs, sometimes doesn't, particularly on a reset.
