Abit BP6, and hpt366 ata66, with ibm 60GXP problems

Modem Problem

Win2K OK, I open up the dialup connection I want to use and hit dial. . . the box goes away and all that i see is the connection thing on the taskbar and i hear the modem noises. . . After dialing it makes some VERY abnormal connection noises then it hang-ups and freezes.

Msconfig Please Help!

I've disabled some startup progs through MSCONFIG, but now MSCONFIG keeps starting up everytime I turn on/restart my computer. Is there some way to keep it from doing this? Thanks CrashNBurn.

Pentium 4, what motherboard is best?

Since it is seemingly becoming cheaper to buy P4's than high end P3's I am now in the market for a P4 motherboard. I don't see many out there and don't know much about them. I assume they are using Intel's 850 chipset and what advantages does it have? So any feedback would be much appreciated!.

I just saw on the front page ATI has made specific XP drivers not 2000 drivers, do you guys think other compaines will start following this trend or will they wait until the OS hits RCs if not RTM stage before making drivers??

Search freezing WinXP

Whenever I use search to find files on my computer, it freezes up explorer every time I exit it. Is anybody else getting this problem? I am using Beta 2. Thanks everybody for your help.
