BSOB at shutdown or restart- any ideas?

i get a BSOD od restart of shutdown- any ideas anyone- the BSOD says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL it seems to start when i installed 12. 90 Win2K drivers fr my Elsa 920. May try some other ones- anyone know which GF drivers work for sure in XP?.

How The Heck do you remove the Build Number??

How do you remove the build number from windows xp build 2504? And I don't want to do the Lock Desktop Icons thing, it makes everything look really crappy. Is their a way other than that? I tried the regedit thing, with the Paint Desktop value, that didn't work, any other way, any way at all????? Falcon26.

Okay, I've got an MSI 694 D Pro-A with the original BIOS for the mobo and the Promise PCD 20265 ATA100 controller with the FastTrak Lite BIOS. Here's my problem: I was trying to add an older 4. 3 GB hdd to what I already had, and it wasn't going well.

Voodoo3 OpenGL/Glide Support in RC1?

I've talked to a lot of different people, and no one seems to have any idea how to get OpenGL or Glide working with Voodoo3 cards under XP RC1. I've tried the latest Voodoo3 drivers on 3dfx. com (following the FAQ here on NT Compatible didn't help), and the x3dfx drivers.

Hi, When I try to install it with SP2 slip-streamed, installation goes through fully, but then after the very first reboot system crashes and reboots immedeately (etc. forever until I turn it off) and I am not able to write down the message.

I upgraded from a K7-650Mhz to a K7-750Mhz. Now I get the message Building DMI Pool. . . . . . . right after the bios boot up. And the system goes no further. When I plug my 650 back in the system boots up fine without this hang up.

NEW KT7xxxx BIOS ( 3R )

over at they have posted the latest ABIT beta bios for the KT7 series of boards. ABIT sent this bios direct to Equito at Icrontic first. It is reported to fix the SBLive issue. It is based on a completely new Kernel from AWARD.

Ripping DVD's with WinXP...

i use CladDVD 1. 71 to rip. VOB files from DVD's, then encode them using FlaskMPG, i am unable to rip at all. The last time i ripped anything was when i was suing Win2k 2195 SP1, i'm using XP 2481 Pro, i have a Pioneer DVD-115 (tray) 16x DVD-ROM, i have the ASPI 4.
