HELP! Copying CD with drives on same IDE

HELLBRINGER

Using Nero and HP CD Writing software to try and copy CDs on my friends system. An I/O Magic 52X CD-ROM and an HP 8X CD Drive. Nero is informing me that difficulties may arrise in attempting to copy a CD and write it at the same time on the fly with the drivers on the same IDE port.

hp 8200 ide not working in xp

I have a hp 8200 ide writer and have just installed windows xp. The writer shows up ok etc but will not recognise cds,a little light comes on on the front when a cd is inserted but thats not happening anymore? The drive works fine in windows 2000 any ideas ,aspi is all installed and working fine.

Ok newbie very confused concerning Video Capture

Ok I run Win2k, and I would like to do some video capture of TV shows that I like and also start putting my daughters camcorder footage on cd to send out to family members etc. Now I have read and been told that MPEG-2 is the best but hard to find compatible cards in win2k right now.

im picking between Hauppauge WinTV, Pinnacles PCTV, 3dfx VoodooTV 200, and wonder what should i pick. I want 3dfx ones but beta win2k drivers. . scares me. . . WinTV and PCTV are nice and support Win2k good i heard.

I dont understand why my system is doin this. . . . i will be surfing the net just reading or playing a game or anything else any normal human being would do and all the sudden my cpu usage jumps to 97-100%.

2505 RC1 MUCH better than 2495

DL it yesterday, and so far i havent experienced any of the problems i had with 2495- mainly BSODs doing pretty much anything, and even when its just sitting idle at the desktop. Also noticed my Diamond modem works out of the box with the default XP drivers, wheras with 29495 had to install drivers myself.

I am running RC-1 and had to load the win2k drivers for my Voodoo5 because Voodoos are no longer supported be XP. Well, I just went to the windows updater and it scanned my system and reported that it had new voodoo5 drivers for me! This was not detected yesterday when I ran the windows updater, so it is very new.

Good PCI Video Card for TV-out / multimonitor

I am currently using a GeForce AGP video card to output to a single monitor in Windows 2000. I plan on buying a second monitor to set up multimonitor, and I also plan on moving my TV in to the room with my computer, and outputting to the TV from my computer.

Nvidia refresh rate fix in 2474

this program worked in 2465 by using the compatablity fix to make it think its win 2k but now in 2474 i do the same thing but it gives me the error of not the correct windows version. is there a reason for this? um using a asus gf2mx with the det 12.

I am wondering about this authorization thing. I know that if you change the hardware physically like change the video card etc. My question is this what if you flash the bios on the motherboard will winXP require you to authorize again?.
